both are comedies about showbiz. However Gravitation has far more over the top humor and the uke is pursuing the relationship. Gravitation keeps the romance and band plotlines running at an equilibrium. Also Gravitation have strong female characters and straight couples.

both very silly comedies and about show-biz. Both have a gay/bi main couple.

These manga both tell the story of pop stars falling in love. In gravitation, the main character falls for a novelist whereas in Star Right band members fall for each other. Gravitation is a much more lighthearted, sweet love story.

Both stories center around young adults who struggle with career, public image and love life.

Both series star a male/male couple, of which at least one of the guys is a celebrity. Once gone public, the relationships become subjected to typical scandles: blackmail and prejudicial abuse. Seme/uke roles between the series' men are also similar-looking.

Obviously both are shonen ai but they have the same style of comedy, the main characters are persistent to gain the heart of their beloved one and both have a childish personality, I think Kusatta Kyoushi no Houteishiki is a little more serious in the last volumes because they grew up (keeping the comedy, of course), but I completely sure if you like one, you'll like the other. And they are about 10 volumes.

The semes are both authors and by some incident, the uke ends up with him. Although there's a huge difference in the plot line between Author's Pet and Gravitation, it won't be much of a problem if you enjoy yaoi and shounen-ai.

They are perhaps two of the longest shounen-ai's out there as well as being downright hilarious and simply entertaining. Gravitation is more fast-paced, to match its setting in the celebrity lifestyle and music industry. It's for people who like silly gags, zany characters and dark back stories. Komatta Toki ni wa Hoshi ni Kike is a lot more slow paced and is easy to appreciate with its slice of life approach. People who like sweet romances will easily fall in love with this. The main love interests in both shounen ai's share a similar trait: they don't have a great start, often at each other's  read more

Well, for starters it's about music.Everything is about music.Although the songs, figuring in Grav. are not as pleasing as the ones in NaNa,the story is similar - a band trying to hit the top, trying to achieve their goals. And relationship budges in too. It's about strong main characters and their will to succeed. My personal + for both and a reccomendation for everyone that haven't seen Gravitation yet.

Can't believe this hasn't been done. Both of the semes are arrogant romance novelists and both stories are extremely funny, though Junjou isn't quite as insane as Gravitation.
