SynopsisA collection of three stand-alone stories. "Galaxy Girl, Panda Boy" is the story of Mani, an adolescent girl growing up in an isolated new age community. Mani is convinced that there is something very odd about her family and the other members of the community. She might be right. "The Laidback Person I Will Never Forget" is a short piece in which a young woman named Yukari begins to doubt her relationship with Takafumi, her slacker / surfer boyfriend. She loves him but she's beginning to think that he might be a bit too laid back for his own good and that their relationship might not have much of a future. "Club Hurricane" (split into four sections and comprising by far the largest portion of the volume) is the tale of Andrew and Rose - twins who find themselves sent off to an odd, remote boarding school in the country as a result of their parents' divorce. Once there, the siblings have to deal with isolation, rejection, their eccentric new schoolmates and their reliance on one another. (Source: ANN) |

As the previous review states there were three stories within this manga, so I'll write a bit about all of them.
The first story, which I thought was the best, was lacking a bit in details but still had a really unique story. I really just liked it because it wasnt like any manga I'd ever read before, yet still had themes I like to read often (lovey, teenage girls lives).
The next story was really quite short. I really liked certain parts in this one, but it was so short and didnt give much storyline so it didnt really catch my attention too much. Still sorta cute and lovey dovey like though.
The last story I didnt really like too much. It was very confusing and vague. However I did find it really quite depressing, not in a bad way though (I'm sure thats how it was meant to be haha).

Story
This manga has 3 stories in it, and they are all completely different. They all pertain to real life situations such as relationship issues, growing pains, and family issues. I thought the stories in this manga were all pretty good. "Club Hurricane" was a little hard to follow at times because there was a lot of internal dialouge and sometimes I didn't know who was talking. The other two stories were good as well, but were shorter than "Club Hurricane".
Art
The art was nice. It reminded me of the artwork in "Peach Girl" somewhat because of the way the girls were drawn. It was very shoujo like artwork.
Character
All the characters presented here are very different. They all have their problems and they solve them by the end of the story. Since this is a one shot manga, you can't really see the characters develop any more than what's already there.
Enjoyment
It took me a while to read this, and when I did, I wasn't dissapointed. I only problems I had was with some of the dialouge some parts of the plots. Other than that it was enjoyable. read more
