You would think that a samurai belongs medieval Japan. However, there can be some exceptions: a samurai in the mountains living the life of the "past" comes down to the city to live a life of the "future/ present (but only to us)." Here, we shall find many twists and turns as the journey of our hero advances.....
Story (7/10) Good
Its pretty typical of a harem type manga: Girls fighting over main character, but the main character is clueless. You guys might've expected some "uniqueness" because a samurai is living in the cities, but the manga hardly ever focuses on that small change. Another reason why this is pretty typical is because on top of being clueless, the progatonist is a good boy, and "FIGHTS FOR JUSTICE."
I guess the thing I hated the most concerning this manga was that it was a plot-per-chapter type of manga; because its a plot per chapter, the manga basically has an excuse to be irregular.
I gave this manga a 7 and not any lower or higher because I was reminded of Onizuka from GTO; they were similar in that they taught other people "lessons of life." The other reason was that I like any harem type manga;s.
Art (9/10) Great
The art was perfect for an ecchi type manga. Combine it with the aspect of harem, and you get a winner. The breasts are drawn beautfiully, the women look beautiful, and at the end of every fight, one girls' clothes are always torn because of some crazy finisher move, leaving them naked.
The fight scenes are fair. The fights are very brief, but not too short to turn you off.
Character (7/10) Good
The best way to define the character of each person in the manga is how they act towards the protagonist. You guys have seen this before; tsundere, shy, bold, etc. Concerning that, the characters are all different in how they cooperate with the protagonist. However, like I said, you guys have all seen this before. I try not to judge the manga based on how well other manga's have done, but its impossible: I have just read too much manga with the same personality with the characters in this manga. I read a LOT of ecchi/harem manga so dont get scared thinking that this is really THAT bad. Its not.
Enjoyment/ Overall (8/10) Very Good
I guess the reason why I enjoyed it so much was because the art was done beautifully, and that the character had the "Onizuka" personality where he teaches other GIRLS the "lessons of life," making them fall for him. And when they fall for him, its an endless cycle of harem. HAREM HAREM HAREM. I LIKE HAREM. read more

I won't say I am a fan of the harem genre, but i do like it when someone makes one with a difference. This,in my opinion,is not so different from others, in terms of the characters and their relationship with each other, but still entertains with its martial arts theme.
Story: A boy is trained in the hills of japan to be a samurai by his Powerful father. When he turns 17(or was it 18)the dad says he has nothing more to teach him there and sends the boy to the city to a fellow clan member for more training. This fellow clan member is Ibuki, the eldest of 4 sisters who is learning the same sword style as the protagonist.
Art: This is at least average. the girls look cute and the guys are well drawn. The art is simple and quite expressive.
Characters: This is the only thing i can say this manga has in common with almost all other mangas of its genre. But they do have a small amount of depth to them and do entertain.
Enjoyment: With the martial art moments and the ecchi situations, this manga can be said to be both funny and some what action packed.
Overall: the characters are harem cliches and the story is not so captivating, but if you look past that, this is a pretty good read. read more

Asu no Yoichi! Or also known as Samurai Harem is about Karasuma Yoichi, a boy whole has devoted his whole entire life training in the mountains to become a samurai. Until one day his father told him to go down the mountains and enter the city to begin his new training at a dojo that practice their style of fighting. At Ikaruga dojo he meets four sisters and that is where things just start to get exciting.
Story: The story is pretty decent in my opinion. Basically about a young innocent man going around to express his ideals of justice by bringing people that he knows smiles. It is kind of cliche since its a harem type scenario but the fighting in it is alright, and since it is a harem type scenario there is plenty of comedic scenes. The character development is good, and the variety of setting and characters are also well made.
Art: I have to admit that this is probably one of the best artwork I have seen so far in manga. The artwork does a splendid job of combining the "manga/cartoony" kind of look with the realistic kind of look you would see in many fighting type of manga. Also most of the characters looks nice in my opinion especially little Kagome. She is just so adorable. And yet again since it is a harem type scenario there will be girls with just huge breast that just seem unrealistic, but beside that fact, the artwork is quite great. The background art is also pretty detailed and the scenes are also well made.
Characters: The character development are pretty good. Its great how Karasuma Yoichi is like the center piece, that helps change people. I really like it how each time he goes help a person, he himself learn something new along with the person he just helped. Also the four sister also have their own development as they themselves are also affected by Yoichi. Basically everyone there is affected by him and they each change, but later realize how they are all connected through his kindness. Which I think is a pretty decent character development.
Enjoyment: I really loved this manga series that I can't wait to go watch the anime. I really thought the characters looked nice and the way they interacted was quite remarkable. Though I did felt the ending was kind of abrupt and felt that it was capable of being longer. Hope I didn't spoil anything :D But anyways do give it a try, the first few chapters may feel kind of slow but things pick up a bit later own. Just a warning though that this manga is not a total fighting manga, its more like a romantic comedy with action in it, so if you're looking for awesome fighting like naruto or bleach, then this wouldn't be the right manga for you. Well hope you enjoy it! read more
