I first found out about Futari Ecchi on the internet whilst looking for some manga to read up on and i thought the idea behind was very intriguing and real to life which has always been popular to be in real life.
the story revolves around a newly married, inexperienced, virginal couple called Makoto and Yura who are determined to make sure their experiences together can only get better as the days go by. This manga is actually very educational about sex. I like the plot and the characters for the most part (even though the main guy character can be an a-hole a lot of the time) But for someone like me who was never taught much about sex or how the body develops throughout puberty, I was able to learn just about everything through this manga. One thing that I find kind of ridiculous is that they show just about every part of the woman's body, but when it came to the guy's d*ck, it was replaced with a banana....I don't know, maybe that's just supposed to

The first thing that must be said is that the author indicates on the first page "This is not a hentai manga, rather an erotic manga for the thinking mind. This is important to indicate because if one were to just skim through a couple of pages they might assume otherwise.

The first time i read this manga was about 7 years ago, this is the first ecchi manga that i've read. Well, I didnt know that this is an ecchi~ i thought this was a hentai~ yeah yeah ive seen this together with some bunch of hentai mangas back then~ and the author said that this is not a hentai, its just an erotic one (laughs)

This Manga is truly a Masterpiece , not because it is perverted but because it is educational , has a very good plot , Very good Romance , and lovable characters.
I really love how the Main characters solves their problems together , how they act like children when they are fighting, how the MC always restrains himself from the seductions of other girls , and their relationship with their families and friends. My ratings for this! Story: 10 - the story is just perfect , I really love the romance part Art : 9 - because it's a little bit old but still ...

i'm going to start the review by saying futari ecchi is basically a sex book .
it basically a story about newly weds who got married when they are still virgins and takes us on a journey (with no plot at all) to over come every type of sexual problems that one may find in real life its a nice blend of ecchi and mature view .and sometime the scenes are really cute nad funny . its well written in terms of being informative about sex-and gives detailed description . Futari ecchi is what youd give to a horrific pervert if you them to learn about ANYTHING. Instead of sex facts they could have inserted ways to solve calculus equations and you would come away from this book a mathmatician.
Ayway what i mean to say is that, not only is this an ecchi manga, its the ecchi to end all ecchi. But at the same time you're learning some very in depth sex education. I learn things i never knew, like statistics about first time across the globe or the average penis shape. Thats why I rated the story so high..because its also a textbook..just ...

This was surprisingly... educational?
Although it have mild ecchi it's only goal is to show how sex works as a whole. For someone written by a japanese man this deals with extremely sensistive topics to their society like all aspects of sex like threesomes, fetishes in general, abuse, cheating, even being transgender, all of them which are considered taboos even for today's standards, let alone in the 90s, when this started. It also deals with all factors surrounding the sex, not only sex itself, like virginity, psychological factors, how sex is being a teenager and being past your 50s, and of course love.
