Yellow is certainly similar to FAKE. Basically, instead of them being cops, they are snatchers xD! The relationships are also VERY similar. The art is gorgeous, the storyline is fine, and the characters from both are like twins =3! But warning, like in the last volume of FAKE, there is yaoi o.o
Yellow is like FAKE retold. In FAKE, one character is bi and he loves his partner who's straight (or, more appropriately, confused and/or doesn't realize it). In Yellow, one is gay, and you know the rest. There's a difference between the jobs (in FAKE, they're cops while in Yellow, they're 'drug snatchers' but what they do is pretty similar - they're sort of detectives ;^^) (Only, I found FAKE much better.)

Both are stories about a comic cop-duo and their troubles. Nice detail: there are bets on the progression in their relationship in Fake as wel as in Mezase Hero!

Both have similar elements of action and adventure, in addition to elements of both the American and Japanese legal systems (i.e. Fake=New York cops, Border=Japanese private investigators)
Both also contain characters that, while notable for their yummy boyxboy relationships, also have serious past traumas that come to light throughout the series. The characters are not only gorgeous to look at, they're actually human too.
And of course, both have the delicious BL sexual tension we all know and love!

Delicious gay cops in New York. Note that Fake is shounen-ai while New York New York is yaoi.

Both are Shounen-ai (sometimes with a bit of yaoi), both have 'slow romance', with it still being one of the main driving points in the story, and both's romantic leads (not all for Mainichi seiten- dealing with several couples, if you consider the 'side stories' as part of the main series) are adult men, perhaps even with similar personalities. The art isn't so similar as to cause notice, but if you take into account the wide array of shounen-ai/yaoi art out there, these would probably both fall into similar categories. And they both just have a very similar feel to them. So basically: If you liked one, I would recommend the other. ~Enjoy :)

Story wise, FAKE and Access are not alike- but if you love Sanami Matoh's art-work and can't get enough of boy-boy action then this is a must!

Set in the 80s-90s US, both mangas deal with crime and mistery. The old Kaori Yuki's drawing style is also very simliar to Fake.

Banana Fish has some BL themes and Fake is a Boy's love series. They both deal with crime on the streets.

These works deal with two male partners (either cops or part of a security team) that work together and fall in love. Each character is devoted to his partner and is willing to risk his own safety to protect the other. Both feature a sweet, romantic relationship that takes time to develop.
