Both romance comedies about a guy and an alien girl who shows up in his life and causes problems for the boy and his romance life. Urusei Yatsura is an oldie but quite hilarious. The protagonists are completely opposite though in their character. The boy Urusei Yatsura is a pervert young man who is a big skirt chaser while the boy in TLRU is a naive and complete innocent when it comes to women.
Both are about a boy meeting a beautiful alien girl from outer space. Both deal with various comedic hijinx of different kinds, including gender swapping, time travel, and supernatural spirits. Urusei Yatsura is less plotty than To-LOVE-Ru, though.

If you love the wacky hijinks, improbably silly scenarios, wanton destruction and over the top perversion of Sora no Otoshimoto, then Urusei Yatsura has plenty more where that come from. Tomoki and Ataru could be related. On the other hand, if you liked Urusei Yatsura, but were hoping for a more cohesive plot, and maybe a little drama, then you should definitely take a look at Sora no Otoshimono. You won't be disappointed.

Both are comedy mangas created by Rumiko Takahashi, so the style and character design are very similar. The romance is also a strong element in both - though it's shown in a comedic way. Some ideas in Urusei Yatsura were later used in Ranma - Ranma and his father's relationship is clearly modelled after Ryuunosuke and her father's one and so on. All in all, if you read one of these mangas and liked it, you would definitely enjoy the other one too.

Rumic World is a compilation of Rumiko Takahashi's earlier work, so the humor and drawing style are practically the same. But that's not all - in the story Those Selfish Aliens we can see the idea of a boy being pursued by an alien girl that will be later developed in Urusei Yatsura.

The main similarity between these two is the bizarre aliens (though there's only one alien in "Cocktail Ponytail") and slapstick science fiction comedy. Both are a good read and a good escape from reality.

Urusei Yatsura is pretty much the original Alien Girlfriend comedy manga. Lum doesn't change into alien forms, but then Demelta doesn't shoot lightning bolts, so its even in a sense.

Romance, Comedy, Takahashi.... You get the point!

The artwork is very similar, and both are about a hapless guy caught up in a romance that could influence the future of the human race. Outlanders however is much more serious and violent while Urusei Yatsura is more of a comedy/school life.

Both are about an incredibly perverted boy in a love-hate relationship with a beautiful girl. The boy likes the girl, but can't help but fantasize about other women in extremely ecchi situations.
