This was an incredibly touching story that the summary description does not give nearly enough credit to. I tried this after noticing it just finished and thinking the art was kinda cute; it had cute girls so that was justification enough to at least give it a shot. And it was a good choice: the art was cute, not breath taking, but cute, and the story was very funny at first. However, it would be a mistake to think this is all fun and games. This had a Tragedy tag on the website that I read it on, and it deserves to have that tag read more

Reading the first few chapters, it's about a socially awkward guy named Riku who discovers a blog which instructs him on what he should do. It leads him to getting closer to his childhood friend Akari. At least, that is what it seems until it goes full retard.

Plot:
Boku to Kanojo no Koi Rogu is like a roller coaster. But rather being than the occasional ups and downs, imagine it riding upwards at a 75 degree angle, and just as the roller coaster slows down and prepares for the drop, all of a sudden you were back to where you were when the roller coaster took read more

In both of these serialisations, a female protagonist starts wanting to learn about being an otaku in an attempt to get closer to the guy she likes.
These two serialisations feature male otaku who openly prefer 2D girls than real ones. Despite this, they still catch the attention of many female schoolmates.
