annarasumanara's magician reminds me of george from paradise kiss - both manga are about people who create real magic through their creations - both have beautiful female leads who don't realize they're beatiful until george/the magician show them they're beautiful - both have wonderful art...
Another story by the same author that brights light into another problem in korean society.

A masterpiece at an level which may be equal to Annarasumanara.
The paper construction style of the witch scenes in Madoka are similar to many scenes in Annarasumanara. And in both, these scenes represent negative emotions.

They both are webtoons that deal with the decline of morals in the modern world and the bad side of people, while the main character is following his/her dream.
Both are coming-of-age tales of teens who deal with their current predicaments to better themselves. While the two are vastly different in accordance to plot, both the protagonists learn a valuable lessons in life from the influences of the people around them.
Both have something/someone that isn't really what/who it seems to be (magic in Annarasumanara and characters in DVD). Both have to do with imagination. Both have some kind of illusions.
Both have 'magical' elements to them, though there is more romance in Mahou Tsukai to Koi Biyaku. They're both really great and somewhat unconventional.

Both heroines meet a mysterious guy who changes their lives. The artwork styles for both are unique in their own ways and the stories contain some similar elements of teenage angst and romance.
For some reason when I started Annara, Oyasumi Punpun came to my mind immediately. They are dark, psychological and awesome masterpieces. I recommend both of them.
It's about magic that most adults can't see...
