What a hidden gem. I started reading this manga not expecting too much (being a yaoi and an incest one at that) but I was pleasantly surprised!

Basically a 17yr old grows up not knowing his father but one day decides to meet him. After staying with his father for a few days he trips on a stone in the back yard and time travels to when his father was 14yr old! After getting over the stock and realisation of what just happened he really starts to get to know his father in a completely different light.
Of course not being able to explain who he is to his 14yr old father a relationship forms between them....a taboo one that is.

When i reached that part of the manga a part of me was saying 'no, he's your father...don't do it' but the other part of me was rooting for them and their bond that had been slowly growing as they spent time together.

I won't give away any more spoilers but the story takes you to where all incest stories go: the 'no-go-zone'.
It really touches on the whole incest topic and questions the thought of why incest is so taboo. They didn't know each other growing up, both are male and can not have children. So why is it frowned upon?
This part of the manga i really enjoyed. Instead of just being another smut/incest yaoi it really added drama to the story.

I wrote a review for this manga for 2 reasons: 1 being no-one else has written one and 2 being that the story really made an impact on me.

CONCLUSION: If you want a manga with good art and some good old fashion fan service BUT also has a good story, then look no further :3 read more

Not Equal is one of my fave Yaoi Manga. I dunno but somehow when I read this before.. it made me feel so sad. Warning.. it's incest.

Story: 9/10

I'd say the story is really unique though not really original. Well I think I've read something like this before.. I think it was Sleeping Moon. But they're not that really the same. Both are great stories though.

Anyway! The pace of the story of this manga is really heart wrenching (if you know what I mean) and just too sad. Not literally sad but because of the characters' situations. For goodness sake, they are FATHER and SON! But, it's just that fate is too cruel for them. They inevitably fell for each other despite of being related to each other. And no. They didn't mean to. It's just that 'time' was too cruel to play a prank with them.

Art: 8/10

I really love Ike Reibun-sensei's art. It has such a warm and simpleness touch on it. Really nice art.

Enjoyment: 9/10

Do you really need to ask? Of course I enjoyed this! It's such a nice story and really really great! Unique but abit sad.

I do enjoy sometimes reading incest stories though I'm not really into them. But this one, it will make you change your opinion about incest. Seriously.. I know that it's wrong for them to fall for each other.. but ARGH WHO CARES?!!! Awww..

Overall: 9/10

If you're up for a forbidden love with a strange twist and drama, then you should totally read this.

It's a shame that this manga is not getting that much attention.. but I guess since the scanlation is not yet finished and only 8 chapters were available. read more
