Please note this is a review based on reading the first three chapters.
Story (3): The plot of this story pretty much consists of nonstop clichés being hamfisted into each page with the level of tact expect of a sugar high 8 year old. This story is blande, unoriginal and paced in a way that is akin to a one-shot, and somehow, because of this horrid pacing, it feels as if it is dragging on while also rushing ahead! To put it bluntly, this is a mess that shows a lack of experience in the writer and director. Hopefully, they have learned and improved from this
...
experience.
Art (6): The art in contrast to the story is not half bad, including some very nicely designed characters, specifically the antagonists. The artist uses heavy contrasting images and smoke/mist like imagery to add to the mystique of the characters in question. This however is belayed by his depiction of the supporting character, which looks like a rejected D. Gray Man oc. Its a shame the writing is so bad, because over all the art is pretty nice. In fact, with some more focus on a central style, instead of using multiple forms for different characters, it could hold the entire series up on its own.
Character (3): Absolutely horrid, the characters spout exposition like a terrible filler machine, and almost incoherently dull. This is all in contrast to their well designed form that focuses on adding mystique. All in all, the characters are just dull clichés that belay their great art design.
Enjoyment (3): IT IS BORING AS ALL HOLY GOD!
Overall (3): If you want to see some decent art design, and how a lack of direction can ruin a fair concept, than you may enjoy this from an academic view. However, if you want anything, literally, anything else, you would do well to look elsewhere.
