Please excuse me as I don't write reviews at all. I do think "Kimochi no Katachi" deserved at least one though as it was a manga I stumbled on and rather enjoyed reading.

The story is of a nervous girl who is in a bit of denial about being gay... Even to the point she compares herself to a reptile. The characters had good development that made the story have some nice depth and made the characters east to like.
Whilst it isn't the most realistic of love tales, it was cute and had some adorable Yuri moments.

It's a plesant and cute read for ... and Yuri/Shoujo Ai fan.

I rather enjoyed reading this, and regarding the lack of reviews so far, I'll throw my opinion out here.

The manga is pretty short, with 7 chapters in total (which aren't that long either), so if you're unsure about it, just try it out - you won't lose much time.
In general, it is your typical fluffy yuri love story in a high school setting; two students falling in love with eachother and mid-way through the manga, they start dating.

What I especially liked was that it felt rather realistic, also by slightly tackling the social pressure and discrimnation coming with such an issue, while still being really ... lovely. Additionally, in terms of characters (or side-characters to be specific), it was kept very simple instead of throwing a bunch of irrelevant characters in your face. There's the main couple, the best friend and the boyfriend, and that's basically it. That really allowed to give the main couple a decent backstory on both sides as well as a nice development, even though it's so short.

A bit more detailed character backstory;
Satsuki is a lesbian. She already knows about it, she was in love with a girl in the past and also confessed to her. The response was less pleasant though: She was told by her crush that she grosses her out. From that point she had a constant fear of falling in love with a girl again, forcing herself to be 'normal' and that her having feelings for a girl would be gross.
Kano on the other hand is a cheerful open minded girl, who doesn't understand love. She agreed to go out with boys who asked her out, but never had the feeling of being in love. This led to her never having a boyfriend for longer than one month. As you can guess already, as the story progresses she realizes that what she feels for Satsuki is love.

Words hurt more than actions. What you may have told a person 5 years ago could still be deeply affecting them. Our main character confessed to another girl, who rejected her under the notion that girls going out with each other is gross and abnormal. Due to this, Satsuki has lost all her courage and constantly denies her sexuality, going as far as forbidding herself from touching other girls. A life full of such insecurity is frankly quite harrowing for me to imagine. I was happy from the bottom of my heart when she finally accepted herself. The characters are great, each of them have ... their purpose and contributes to the story. Satsuki's friend is especially awesome. Main couple had a good development.

The art is the only weak point. Background details are mediocre, even non-existent at times. More importantly, how the characters were drawn wasn't very appealing for me. But it can be mostly forgiven because it is a very pleasant read. All in all, definitely recommend reading this. Despite being short, it manages to tell an intricate and wonderful story.
