Deep Love - Host (Manga)

If you haven't read Deep Love - Ayu no Monogatari, I would recommend for you to read it first for a better explanation on what goes on in Deep Love - Host. Deep Love - Host revolves around Yoshiyuki, a young boy who got a heart transplant and managed to live on.

He journeys through the experiences of being a host and learns a lot of things in the process. It is a wonderful story about the reality of life and the 21st century. The bitter truth bites in throughout the Deep Love stories and it made me cry countless times.

It is a perfect example of how cruel life and destiny is but at the same time the story expresses optimism in how the characters eventually come to accept the death of their loved ones. This is a valuable lesson as death is something we will have to come to accept.

I have been in search of more realistic, slice of life stories and the Deep Love series is a great read. If you plan to read it, be sure to prepare some tissues or a hankie cause tears will surely sting your eyes. read more
