A special un-numbered chapter, "Tegami Bachi to Dingo (Letter Bee and Dingo)" was published as a one-shot in Weekly Shounen Jump prior to the launch of Jump Square, where Tegami Bachi is now serialized.

Tegami Bachi has been licensed for an English-language distribution on North America by Viz Media, and started serialization in the March 2009 issue of their monthly Shounen Jump anthology.
