Both great action manga with blood, gore, intrigue and badasses with unusual weapons, not to mention amazing art.

OK, both the stories are about killers, BUT in Jackals it's like the artwork and the characters are made to capture more adult audience. There is a lot of blood and gore in these two, and almost every chapter in these two manga titles start with the name Kill. So if you like Akame ga Kill and you want something similar. I suggest you read Jackals, you will not be disappointed.

You could call Jackals the serious version of Gangsta. Pretty similiar and if you liked one of them, you'll like the other one.

Looks like there will be lot of violence, both main characters are assassins and both lost part of their families. Other similarities we will see later xD

Both are fast, action-based mangas which revolves around mainly one characters, but also provides information on the supporting characters. The plot isn't very "deep" with any extreme twists, but there are some dark secrets that the characters have. Jackals is based more on gang-fights, but is mixed with a "fantasy" feeling that is created by the characters' outfits and weapons. The style has a old-fashioned feeling to it, like the setting was in the 1900s when they still used cannons. But, there were also bombs, and very ancient weapons like the katana. It is more of a mix of cultures and times. Arachnid, on the other  read more

Lots of blood, gore, and action. If you like how Alucard in Hellsing is a very violent person than this is a good manga for you because everyone in this manga is violent and badass.

In both of them the fighting is really imporant. They want to be stronger to survive the battles. They are both strong characters, who knows what they want.

A story about a spiky haired hero wielding a sword, fighting against other fighters with different types of weapons and techniques.

Quite similar; both stories are centered around young males with spiky, white hair, wielding swords. Of course, they are great swordsmen as well, striving to literally surpass their respective parent in more ways than one. The stories both feature plenty of duels where the characters use unique weaponry and various skills/techniques. Not to mention lots of blood and some mild gore to go along.

They are both set in a simliar environment, violent chaotic city. Both feature excellent art and fight scenes, although, Jackals is a little gorier. Both feature sexy guys weilding sick weapons. And... Haine=Nichol

Both are action with bounty hunter, criminals and such. Also characters are interesting in both of them.

The same artist deals out violence and gore as much as possible in both of these series, and while some will see the fighting as overdone, the art is certainly badass.
