The characters seem the same.

both are about troubled girls with little no self esteem
both focus on the transformation of these girls ( looks & personality )
both of the guys are out of their league ..
both are bullied by people they consider best friends ..
the art is also very similar I thought it was the same mangaka at first
if I continue I'll never stop , in short if you like one you'll most definitely like the other

The story line and deleopment of these two manga are VERY different, however if you are looking for the kind of situation when one sister outshines the other and the weaker sister decides to change herself in order to achieve the life she wants.
Or the situation when both sisters like a guy but, one gets the guy and the other is left lonely looking for love,
Then definetely, this manga fits the bill. Over looking these two similaries then...
NOT AT ALL!!!

Both have a story about sisters who look alike but totally different personalities. One is super cute and the other one has developed an inferiority complex because of it.

Its not as drama filled as LIFE, but all the characters remind you of each other.
Ayumu-Ageha, remind you of each other.
Manami-Hana,*
Hatori-Hayato, *
Manami's friends-Ryuusei, *
So, to sum it up all the chararcters and there roles seem to be alike.

Both main characters start off being the 'glasses-wearing', long skirt girl and then becomes this really pretty girl. Both girls change because they cannot stand humiliation any longer and both want to change because of someone. except in Papillon, the main character has a twin sister who is more popular than her- which then gradually goes into the story about a love triangle. happy reading :)

If you liked Peach Girl's extraordinary story telling...you might like this series as well. Made by the same mangaka as Peach Girl. Both series contained manipulative antagonists, and love triangles, and it gives that same feeling of hate, sadness and likeness whenever you read it.

Both are similar in a way that the MCs fell in love with the one who helped them. but Papillon has much more drama whereas Koukou Debut is more on the comedic side.

Ichigo and Anzu are also twins, and they're identical. They go to different schools because Anzu has a phobia toward boys. There's a boy that Ichigo likes, but he likes Anzu. Ichigo also grows closer to the son of the man her mom's going to marry.
