Both series have a similiar premise, an unlikely duo collaborate to start a manga..And they encounter obstacles in their love lifes, and in their way to becoming mangakas.  

G Senjou is about making manga. It shows the struggles of the mangaka. Hibiki is about writing Japanese literature, with the same vibes. Both these works express the same emotions. Even the talented people can’t take it easy. 

Both the manga have a protagonist who is initially aimless. But he discovers a passion and from then on the story takes off. Both stories show how one has to struggle to succeed in a profession and that this struggle is what makes success so sweet. In the end, we'll be happy if we keep chasing our dreams. Also, friends can help a bunch at times! I highly recommend both beck and G Senjou Heaven's Door.
