When reading 'Boku wa Konomama Kaeranai' I couldn't stop thinking about 'Let Dai'. The main resemblances in the story are:
- a very dangerous friendship that leads to homosexuality
- a boy trying to end things with a girl so he can start a gay relationship
- rape
Both stories have a great tear-factor, though I have to say: compared to 'Let Dai', 'Boku wa Kaeranai' has a rather happy ending.

Old school boy's love at its best -- or at least its most famous! While Kaze to Ki no Uta is full of the melodramatic 80s style and I Shall Never Return is blatantly 90s, both series have held up through the years as some of the most dramatic and enchanting BL tales out there.
