Millennium Snow (Manga)

The story had a very interesting plot and seemed to be a bit like a halloween type of manga, but still had light-hearted romance.

A great manga to read, but you may feel a bit empty with the ending since it doesn't really have an ending since Hatori chose to put all her focus into her other manga "Ouran Highschool Host Club". I have to say that is the only downide of this manga, other than that, this manga is a great work ad I'm sure shoujou fans will find it adorable.

Although technically this manga series is not finished since Hatori Bisco is focusing on completing Ouran Kokou Host Club, the chapters that she managed to write for Millennium Snow are turning out to be very interesting and romantic.

I like how the characters each have symbolism in their names and it has a very Halloween type of effect seeing as one is a vampire and the other is a werewolf. If you are looking for something that is very light-hearted and carefree, then you will enjoy the first 9 chapters of this series. The story begins with how they all meet is very somber in the beginning [especially each of the main character's back-stories] but it makes you realize how important it is for the three characters to be together and makes you feel happy. Afterwards, whenever they encounter an obstacle, you feel worried especially when it involves that something bad might happen to the main girl, Chiyuki. Also, the things that they do for her is what makes it turn out romantic but you have to read to see why.

There aren't any bad aspects so far since the series is not fully developed and is on a hiatus but if you want to read Hatori Bisco's first work in manga, then feel free to read. I think it's pretty good =] read more

A great work done by Hatori Bisco - comedy, drama, shoujo, romance... all of these genres make this story so good! Even though it is only two volumes long, it will make your heart experience many different emotions. Worth reading if you have already finished "Ouran High School Host Club"~

If you are a vampire fan, werewolf fan, or just a lover of a good story, that this is the manga for you! This is one of Bisco Hatori's, the creator of Ouran High School Host Club, first published works.
Story:
LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! Great characters and a great plot with the twists and turns that makes you want to know what will happen next. Beautifully constructed and well placed foreshadowing. Unfortunately, Hatori had to drop this project to continue doing Ouran High School Host Club. This means that all that foreshadowing that was placed in the story perfectly is never used. You can tell at the end of the 2nd and last volume that it was a dropped project. It ends one the "now that that's over, what will happen next?" note. (does that make sense?) I wish I knew how to contact Hatori so that I could ask is she plans to pick it up again when she's finished with Ouran.
Art:
If you read the Ouran manga, you can tell that this manga was developed during her beginning stages as a mangaka. Therefore, her art is a bit lacking compared to Ouran, but is still VERY enjoyable to look at.
Character:
*fan-girl squee* I love them all! Chiyuki, Toya, Satsuki, and Yami-Maru are all amazing characters! Well-rounded and deep characterization, so much so that you feel that you really know these characters. Sadly, due to the abrupt ending, you don't get as much back story (mostly on Yami-Maru and Toya) as anyone would want.

As to expect from the Hatori Bisco, the art and story line is amazing. It's unique in its own way and who else can resist a manga with a gorgeous vampire and werewolf?

I'm still only halfway through with the manga, but every panel is really worth the time reading. The characters each have their own individuality, and there's so many elements to the manga, such as: romance, friendship, rivalry, angst, comedy, etc.

There was nothing special about this manga. It has a typical storyline, typical healing female character, a male character that is hard on the outside but nice on the inside and the other male with whom forms a love triangle, but really, the triangle doesn't exist (as the girl like the former male character and they share a bond that's not like the bond between her and the latter male character).

Anyway...

Story+Character: Since the story isn't finished, it's hard to judge it. At the moment, it's too predictable. The relationships between the character, the events and what's going to happen next, you know before you read.

Art: The art in this manga, I thought, was rather good. The characters were drawn fine. But, yet again, I found that the eyes of the female character was funnily drawn.

Enjoyment: It was amusing while it lasted. Predictable, but amusing nonetheless. read more
