Even though "Lovers Doll" is a yaoi manga and "Shōnen Dolls" is a shōjo manga, there are similarities between them. Like the fact that both mangas have a doll theme and the focus is on the relationship between the master and the doll(s). The affection between master and doll(s) also makes it possible for the dolls to turn into humans in both mangas, though the dolls in "Shōnen Dolls" can only turn into humans during the night.
"Lovers Doll" is a yaoi manga but I think even people who usually don't read that genre would find LV cute and enjoyable, because it's not as hard-core as other yaoi mangas! :)
Dolls turning into a Human, but in Shounen Dolls the dolls turn into a Human in Night time.
Except 'Shounen Dolls' is not Yaoi
Both Lovers Doll and Shounen Dolls have the same concept of dolls being alive after gaining affections from their owners.
Both managas are sweet, funny and definitely enjoyable :)
(Personally, i prefer Lovers doll more because it had more cute moments)
PS: Dont like yaoi? Never mind! You can still enjoy Lovers Doll! :) Lovers Doll is one of the lightest yaoi i had ever read that only have "bed" scenes at the bonus chapter. Lovers Doll focus more on its plot and cute moments , so you can definitely enjoy this even if you are not a huge fan of BL!

Both mangas are about human looking dolls that feed on their masters love. Both leave a bittersweet aftertaste.
The Hybrid Child is an amazing android that can grow if it is lavished with enough love and care from its owner. Neither fully machine nor fully human, the various Hybrid Child models develop strong emotional bonds with their owners. Similar to Lovers Doll in many ways but completely different.

Mishima Kazuhiko takes another shot at the robot/doll lover theme and produces something both a bit darker and sweeter in Lovers Doll.
The two stories follow the main character who order a human-looking doll - Lovers Doll - and a human-looking robot - Love Neco - and how they eventually understand each others feelings.

Lover's Doll has amazing art and a very different plotline. Jealousy, heartbreaking moments, and fluffy scenes are involved; it is ultimately an extremely memorable BL manga, just like Rutta to Kodama.

> both have similar art
> both have similar comedy
> both have hot scenes
The main reason i think these 2 are similar is because of the love/hate comedy. The characters 'hate' each other: always arguing and fighting but later on they learn that they really do like each other.

After you read these mangas you get an awfully cute feeling in your stomach (and you may even shed some tears). They're so sugar cute both of them! :3
Shimeji-chan (Lovers Doll) and Hiroshi-kun (Konbini-kun) are both beginners at love because of a trauma(s) from past that keep them from opening themselves to others.
The knights in shining armour, who save Shimeji-chan and Hiroshi-kun from their past and accepts them for who they are and thus helps them move forward, are Shin-san (Lovers Doll) and Kōhei-kun (Konbini-kun)!
