Synopsis

Little Lucy Snow was meant to be enjoying her first day at the nice elementary school in town; however a macabre twist of fate sees her enrolled instead at Miss Weaver's Academy for the Scientifically Gifted and Ethically Unfettered--also known as Hollow Fields.

Located on the outskirts of Nullsville and run by the insidious Engineers, the grim boarding school dedicates itself to raising the next generation of mad scientists and evil geniuses! Classes include Live Taxidermy, Cross-Species Body-Part Transplantation and Killer Robot Construction, and for her own survival Lucy has to master them quickly...the student with the lowest grades at the end of each school week is sent to the old windmill for detention--and so far, no child has ever returned!

This is a story of a young girl that gets lost in the woods one rainy day. She ends up making her way to strange school in seemingly the middle of nowhere. The school is filled with kids from different places and although all may not seem it they are very intelligent. However, this school is very strict in its rules and mysterious things happen to the students that do not follow them to the fullest. Students MUST NOT be have the lowest class rank for the week or something bad happens to them...Read the series to learn all about the main character and the read more

User Recommendations

Both series feature a cute little girl who winds up at an unusual school for students with special abilities, although the schools themselves are immensely different from eachother. While Gakuen Alice has a dark side that slowly reveals itself, Hollow Fields is much darker, sometimes even almost Gothic-like. Hollow Fields also has a much faster pace.
