Synopsis"Welcome to Venus Vangard. We've been expecting you."
Sumire Takahana is a seemingly normal school girl cursed with the ability to see malevolent ghosts known as "Viruses." Her life hits a crossroads after a run-in with a "gothic lolita" clad monster killer for hire, Lucia Nahashia. Not content to stay on the sidelines while these "Viruses" prey on the weak, Sumire decides to join forces with the mysterious eyepatch-wearing Lucia to hunt down these "Viruses" before they can hurt anyone else.

It was a pleasant surprise to stumble across this manga, and I recommend it to anyone in search of action, a cute dark story and beautiful garnments!
I first saw the anime 2 years ago and was really disappointed by its sudden and rough conclusion. Be sure that the manga is far more detailed and its story is much more developed.
The story is well-developped, if a little clichéd. It won't blow your mind, but it is filled with little moments of sincerity, where you can't help but feel for the characters.
The art is truly beautiful. A special attention is given to the costumes, which are loosely inspired by the Gothic Lolita fashion. The characters' expression are always precise, and the surrenderings are beautifully drawn.
The characters themselves are really stereotyped, but they play their parts so well you can't really complain.
One part shojo and two parts action, this manga is full of combats. The pace is really quick (given the 8 volumes) but there's nothing in there that doesn't help tell the story. The manga itself is well-structured, so the story really flow.
Venus Versus Virus is a very enjoyable, so don't hesitate to read it if you have the chance! read more

I personally like the manga compared to the Anime. Coz, one, it has more details of the story (since it's original after all). And the ending of the Anime I was like "No--! I want a full ending! I don't want to guess what happened. '^ x ^ SPOILER ALERT! "It was sad about Lucia's father when he gained conscious of himself and he..." -Annyways! I loved the Manga of V.V.V! So I reccomend it. ^ v ^
So, Venus Versus Virus is a sad, touching, funny, w/ lots of action manga/(or anime. Whatever you prefer)

Supernatural manga in which the protagonist sees ghosts/demons, and, because of this ability, gets involved with a girl, teams up with her, and even gains a super power.
N00b gets caught in situation with corrupted spirits -> more experienced person saves them -> they end up teaming up.
