The cover looks so innocent and the synopsis sounds like it will be a nice Slice of life manga to read, until you start reading it. You will be met by terrifying contents not suited for children and it’s inevitable, YOU CANNOT ESCAPE…. He.. hehe… hehehe…
...What? We all love dirty jokes alright?

Story: 8/10
Seitokai Yakuindomo is famous for its hilarious sex jokes and misunderstandings. It’s simply about a young 1st year student named Tsuda Takatoshi who gets forced to join the student council. At first it might not sound so horrible, however, he has to deal with their sex jokes, dirty suggestions and wildness. The ... things they say and do are incredibly unpredictable and it always leaves me facepalming myself or laughing hysterically.

This manga currently has over 300 chapters and is still publishing, as there are still many great sex jokes to discover! So far, the manga is focusing on the comedy, leaving the story behind but that doesn’t mean it’s bad or anything. Although I would appreciate it if it focused on both the comedy and story (but I can’t really complain yet since I’m only at chapter 101).
Also, it is arguable if Seitokai Yakuindomo should or should not really have the romance and harem tag. While it doesn't really show that much of those genres, there are many hints of romance here and there~

Art: 9/10 (Note that art only affects slightly on my overall rating!)
The art is pretty much a bit over average, however, the reason I rated the art so good is because how the author draws the characters differently depending on the situation. For example, one time they can discuss something important, giving them serious and well drawn faces. But then someone completely ruins the mood with most likely, a sex joke, and at that time they can be drawn cutely and/or ridiculously. You get the point.
The manga is also drawn with a 4koma style. If you don’t know what it means, you can just look at the cover at the bottom-right corner.

Character: 10/10
All of the characters are really hilarious and even the side characters take a big role in the “story”. You don’t forget a single one and none of them are plain boring either. After all, everyone are important for the sex jokes to “evolve”!

Let me first introduce you shortly to the four main characters in the student council.
The perverted yet dignified president, Shino Amakusa.
The perverted and rich secretary, Aria Shichijou.
The incredibly clever loli treasurer, Suzu Hagimura.
And lastly the victim... Tsuda Takatoshi!
And yes! There is actually character development, though It may be small, it is still noticeable overtime.

Enjoyment/Overall: 9/10
I really enjoy Seitokai Yakuindomo and I look forward to read more. This is recommended for all of the pervs out there who wants to learn few dirty jokes they can use in real life, or for those who just wants to laugh hysterically! I would rate it 10/10 if the author includes a bit more story, but I still am only at chapter 101!

You would probably think that after over 400 chapters of this manga, I would have had my fill of dirty jokes, but I am still waiting with baited breath for the next installment to drop from the authors God-tier talent. While primarily a gag manga, this series somehow manages to keep the reader interested with a small cast of characters and a simple scenario, while making them laugh with every chapter. If you have watched and enjoyed the anime adaptation, you will love this. As I read it, I could hear the voice actors in my head.

Story (8) - This series falls into slice of ... life, and thus there is no real plot to talk about. The four main characters are high-school students and members of the student council who are constantly getting into misunderstandings and situations which offer ample opportunity for sex-related jokes. This lack of heavy plot can be refreshing and allows the sex-jokes to flow without pesky story developments getting in the way.

Art (8) - For me, art style is rarely the most important The art style may seem simple at first, but as you continue, it becomes obvious that the artist is able to display a full range of emotions for each character without a large amount of details. The artist also regularly changes the art style to a much less detailed, chibi-like style when the characters are making their dirty jokes.

Character (9) - The characters, where to start... Firstly, the student council girls all appear to be normal, intelligent, high-achievers, but when the protagonist gets dragged into the student council, the facade slips a little, and their more unconventional aspects to show through. Outside of the student council, a host of lovable and funny characters fills the space between boke moments.

The president, Shino Amakusa, is a dignified leader, highly reliable and loved by all in the school, commanding the respect of students and teachers alike. However, when she lets down her guard a little, her more perverted side shows through.
The Vice President and protagonist (though all four of the student council members seem equally important), Takatoshi Tsuda, a student who chose the school which was closest to home. After having the responsibility of being vice-president forced upon him, he quickly finds his place... as the resident tsukkomi to the others' antics. He is also incredibly dense, often totally misreading the mood of a conversation with the girls.
The secretary, Aria Shichijou, a beautiful, buxom, rich-girl. Airheaded and almost always carrying some type of sex-toy. Sometimes, she wears underwear, but not always... easily the most openly perverted of the cast.
The treasurer, Suzu Hagimura, the final council member and vertically challenged. God help those who call this genius small or compare her to a child. Fluent in english at the start of the series, she is quickly becoming fluent in tsukkomi too, offering much needed backup to Tsuda.

Enjoyment (10) - After reading 400 chapters of any other manga, I would probably have become sick of it. That is not the case with Seitokai Yakuindomo. After following the characters through the three or four summers of their second year, I am still in love with this series. Once you pick up the first volume, you will not be able to hold back, as you read chapter after chapter, unable to to stop.

Overall (9) - If I was asked to recommend a series to my family, it wouldn't be this, as the awkwardness and embarrassment would be too much. If a friend asked though, I would recommend this in a heartbeat. If you want to spend a couple of days laughing at potty humour, or are looking for a relatively plot-less filler while you wait for the next chapter of you favourite series to be released, i cannot think of anything more suitable.

Look, if you want intellectual comedy or real story, look elsewhere. This is straight-up bathroom humor at its very finest, distilled further into 4-koma form.
Pretty much every punchline is a dirty joke. Heck, it's amazing that there are this many possible variations on dirty jokes.

What's special about this is that it's female-oriented bathroom humor. Kind of refreshing in a disgustingly weird way, since bathroom humor tends to be more about guy things. Here, we get references to "that time," underwear, grooming, dating, attempting to amend the dropping Japanese birth rate, etc.

Anyways, it's a great escape back ... to a really base form of humor. Consider it mental bleach.

Okay, the series finally ended. It has been a looong hell'uva ride

Jokes aside, the story is actually interesting and somewhat informative in more ways than one. Each chapter is short so if you read the whole thing from start to finish with almost no stopping, you can probs finish it within 3-4 days.

A ton of green jokes but sometimes a bit too much. Sometimes, you just force yourself to laugh as the jokes start to become repetitive. Also as ... a side note, they get stuck in time but its bearable.

As far as art goes, you won't really get much out of it unless you watch the anime. Character designs slowly improve the further you read into it.

All in all it's a comedic, slice of life manga that doesn't know how to hold back on dirty jokes. Its plot develops to a certain point but after that it becomes repetitive. I would still recommend it though if you are looking for a casual read.

Seikotai Yakuindomo (SYD) is almost a one trick pony by all standards of the phrase. By that I mean that if you enjoy what you see in the first two or three chapters then you'll probably like the entire thing, and if you don't then you won't. It's hard to find a manga that stays so static for so long, but SYD does it somehow. And yet, I actually found myself enjoying it more and more as it went on, especially past chapter like 200 or 300.

There is almost no plot to be talked about whatsoever. It's a slice of life 4-koma gag manga about ... dirty jokes, which already explains like 90% of it. More specifically though, it follows the 'boke tsukkomi' format which is kinda just one person says something funny or outrageous and the other person reacts like how a normal person would. The way this translates is that 80% of the characters will say something dirty and the MC will say something like, "Wait you can't say that". It's a simple formula that works well for this manga.

That being said, the characters in the manga are the obvious selling point, though they come off as pretty tropey. Out of the entire story so far, there are about 14ish characters besides the main character that span various levels of dirtiness and thirstiness that make SYD a treat to read. Seeing each character interact with other characters in a group is always interesting, and they tend to all play off of each other in slightly different ways depending on who is there.

Though most of the time is spent on making dirty jokes, there are also some slight romantic subplots that come up here and there that I actually probably enjoy more than the main focus of the manga. It comes at a slow pace and there's never really any development, but it really breathes new life into the manga when it gets stale. That being said though, it only really comes into play at mid to later chapters.

In terms of the art, it's honestly not that great. A lot of sharp likes make characters look kinda funny, and there's never too much expression in their detailed faces. However, I do like a lot of ways the artist uses different levels of complexity to aid in the humor, so I'll give it that.

Overall, SYD is something you'll instantly like or hate, so if you're not a fan of dirty jokes then give this a pass. If you are though, it's a fun ride with no real stakes attached, so hop on board and enjoy your time.

In my opinion this manga is sooo good not only because of the jokes that are told in this manga are godly good but because it brings a fresh air when it comes to comedy in manga . I have noticed that the majority of the comedy manga with this type of jokes(which I will explain later ) have boys to tell jokes as a way to sometimes tease the girls but in this manga it is the other way around . Now the boy (the main character who has the most screen time ) get teased by the girls with this kind jokes ... . But here is the thing , the type of comedy that this anime has .... it's very lewd or sex related jokes and here I want to note that these jokes are well done and yes they are lewd but at the same time they are not explicit ( doesn't contain nudity or stuff like for example the jokes and nudity that are contained in the anime called Highschool DxD , more like jokes that are told between very good friends) and you would expect boys will tell them during the adolescent years but in this case the girls use these kind of jokes who are also in their adolescent years and that makes the jokes even better for a reason I cannot explain to be honest . In conclusion this manga so good (that will make you read it several times to understand all the jokes) and underrated in my humble opinion . Support/read it without fear !!!!!!!!
Note : About the story/lore : the anime doesn't really have a story . Let me explain , the story of this anime shows the every day life and events of some good friends who go to the same school just like the following comedy anime : Asobi Asobase ,The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. , Daily Lives of High School Boys etc . So if you are fan of the above anime I mentioned you will enjoy it even more and understand better the true worth of Seitokai Yakuindomo !!!! Have fun !!!

This is a fantastic manga.

Art was fine. The style is unique and recognizable which is a plus.

The plot and development were fine too. Despite following the same formula for its entire run, the stagnant development legitimately creates its own appealing charm and really does a good job of driving home the final sentiment of how romantic and irreplaceable their unchanging everyday lives are.

The conclusion was sentimental and a bit sad, but it was surprisingly appropriate. No conclusion as to what may be, no confessions, no what ifs. Their everyday school lives, their hijinks and jokes, ever unchanging will continue outside of the pages. ... I'm satisfied with that.

This was a fantastic read. I feel a bit empty at the time of writing this like something is missing. I know from experience that that is a good thing when I finish any particular anime or manga; that's how much I appreciate this manga. I recommend reading this; there isn't anything quite like this gem.
