In both manga the story and characters are very similar, which is only natural, since they're from the same mangaka. While Inuyasha takes place mostly in the feudal era with the characters exterminating evil youkai and hunting down the main villain, Rinne takes place in the present with the main characters dealing with cases that have to do with the supernatural.

I'm surprised that anyone haven't made this recomendation it. Both are about Shinigami, have similar story and beginning.A must see(or read,oh fugit) for Bleach fans.
from the same author, so have the same style of art (more improved in Rinne), humor and have similar style in the narrative too. Both of them use short stories (normally with 2 or 3 chapters ) with few or none changes in the main plot....

who like Rinne's light style of the story, certainly will enjoy Ranma
both protagonists can see spirits and have to deal with them.
Both started the same time, have aproximately the same chapters on the same magazine. Both series have a being trying to help the dead people solving sobrenaural cases, have a strange animal-like sidekick, the diference that one is a Demon fighting Shinigami(and others demons),the other is a Shinigami fighting evil spirits.
Both heroines from these two series have a special power. Sakura from Kyoukai no RINNE can see spirit while Terumi in Watashi ni Uso wo Tsuite (Tell Me A Lie) can read the people's mind/thoughts when she looks into their eyes.
Both have main girls that have a special 'spiritual-seeing' ability, and guys that are working as shinigami to pay off their debts. Also, both mangas have a recurring theme of money and how the main characters suffer from some sort of poverty.
