Himuro Yukina, a girl feared by most students for her piercing glare, is secretly a famous cellphone novelist, Yupina. While searching for material on 'love', something she has never experienced, she stumbles onto Shigure's, the most popular boy in school's, secret. He is actually a serious womanizer who writes down all his accomplishments in his Student ID book. Cleverly using this evidence, Yukina blackmails Shigure into love-acting and teaching her about 'love'. But Akira, Yukina's childhood friend and cousin, is not happy at all with this turn of events. Used to being the only person who's not afraid of Yukina's glare, how will Shigure react to Yukina's sudden shift in attention? How will he respond when the love-acting becomes more than just acting for him?

Great story about an unpopular high school girl who writes cell phone novels in her spare time. Her peers are scared of her because of her intense glare, so she's never had the opportunity to experience "love." When she hears her fans want more love stories, she decides she needs to experience love for herself so she can write about it and ends up blackmailing the most popular boy in her class. Although he puts on a facade of being the perfect guy, he's actually a jaded womanizer and has little respect for the people around him. The two of them read more

I really loved this manga, i really really did. But then the story began to go way retarded, and bland, boring, stupid, and most important keyword of all: pointless.

Plot 6 - I thought this would be an interesting story at first, the kind where the main character slowy realises her feelings, but no the author had to go all the way to make a totally useless and predictable twist here and there and tried to spice up the story a bit but instead she screwed it up. Now the entire plot is running in circles over and over and over and over and read more

I'm not usually one to write reviews, but I just felt that I had to write one for this great manga.

The story interesting, with a rather overly-observant girl being shunned by her classmates, yet at the same time they're dedicated fans of her mobile phone novels.

She tricks this popular guy into doing love related things to her, so that she could understand love and begin to write about love in her novels. The way their relationship develops is what really captivates you; they slowly but steadily become very different people to the façade they show to the world.

The best thing in my opinion about this read more

Watashi ni XX Shinasai is one of those stories where the plot is the thing that gets you interested in it first regardless whether its a girly story or not. And the plot is interesting to those who like romance's and can relate to the many emotions and circumstances shown in this story. NO SPOILER.

Story 7/10

This story's main subject is something that can be both good and bad. Something that is very simple and very confusing at the same time. People have written poems, argued about it, cried about it, and (horribly) killed for it. LOVE. LOVE and the many characters afflictions and troubles read more

both are about young writers trying to experience love. they also both end up using the "popular boy" in their school as their partner in doing this
By the same artist and author but watashi is spicy where as koko is sweet.
Both heroines make a practice of secretly observing other people and pride themselves on their ability to remain detached in those observations. However watashi ni xx shinasai has a plot that focuses more on love while Warau Kanokosama is like a series of short stories all with the same heroine.
Although Uwasa no midori kun is much more mature, both are wonderful stories with comedy, romance and a awesome love triangle.
Girls find out a boy's secret and force them into a relationship, having different reasons for it. Slowly they have to deal with their feelings questioning themselves whether everything was just fake or not.
Both are Shoujo and School Life where the girls, because of their attitudes are hated by everyone at school. Both girls fall for the cute guy at school.
