Shouri no Akuma (Manga)

Story - 7/10

Ok, first of all I have to say that this manga caught my eye the first time I saw it in the manga shop. Maybe because the Italian name for it was "Guardian Devil" which sounded intriguing enough for a romantic comedy so I instantly bought the first volume and I was just amazed at the simple plot this manga had but at the same time it could be catching and hilarious in many ways. I also especially loved the transition between the "doki doki" moments and the slight drama of Asami, mostly when she was dealing with her feelings for Akira or her and her dad's economical problems.

One of the bad things (but not necessarily) is that besides Asami and Akira, the other characters tended to be ignored most of the time after their first appearance, the manga focusing more on the development of the main leaders. These secondary characters could be spotted somewhere in the backgrounds sometimes doing random things but there were really forgettable overall. I personally don't remember the names of any of the secondary characters xD

Another thing I regretted was that Shouri no Akuma has only 3 volumes and the ending of it seemed rushed and too sudden even though it was definitely cute. Also some things I think we needed to know were completely ignored too and left without being properly explained. (example: why Akira's father didn't want Asami to start frequenting his son in the first place, or what exactly happened in the end with the little girl that affirmed she hated Akira etc.)

Art - 8/10

Pretty but sometimes everybody kind of look the same xD Also, all the boys, not only Akira, have big round eyes and seem too feminine.

Character - 7/10

Akira is definitely the "light" of Shouri no Akuma that makes everybody near him shine too, mostly Asami.
Another interesting thing of the main leaders is that Akira is extravagant, egocentric, narcissistic, cheerful, moody and seems like he doesn't care about anything that's not fun, while Asami is his exact opposite: serious, systematic, intelligent, the type of girl that thinks before acting. This opposition between the two can make them the perfect pairing in the eyes of everybody (and I'm one that doesn't like canon pairings in the first place xD).
Besides, the protagonists we have the secondary characters. Each one of them (or most of them) had the spotlight for at least one chapter but they're pretty forgettable because they tend to be ignored after their "arc" is finished, the story focusing more on the development of the relationship between Akira and Asami.

I think what I said above is already enough for you to understand why I enjoyed this. xD

Overall: 8/10
Shouri no Akuma is short, simple, the ending has many things left in mid-air but in this case, it worked ridiculously good. xD
