Synopsis

When her parents die in a car accident, Dinah Wherever is sent to live with her aunt in an old house that used to be part of a reform school in the run-down, decrepit town of Bizenghast, MA. In the woods surrounding her new home, she discovers a hidden graveyard that is home to a vast array of restless spirits, people whose violent and unhappy deaths have made it impossible for them to find the way to the next world. There she discovers that she has two choices: she can help these lost souls... or she can become one of them. (Source: ANN)

Let me beginn with the art. This manga is maded by an american, and I think, that it can be seen on the drawing. In the manga the same pictures come for again sometimes. But it also has great pictures.

The story is sometimes scary, but when you like horror, and goth stuff, then you'll like it. That is the reason, why I started to read this manga, because the feeling is orphic.

The characters are stange. Dinah is sometimes so strong and direct, but in the other moment she is too weak. Vincent is always with her, maybe that gives her power. But what they exacly read more

While GodChild is placed in 19th century England, Bizenghast takes place in a small town where strange phenomenons take place. Both have a horror/occult feel to them and the wardrobe is similar--the story lines both focus on the deadly situations of the protagonist and use lyrics, poem, and other riddles as themes.
