Love Monster was a great shoujo manga. If you like the romance type, with funny characters, and a serious plot on the side then you're gonna love this manga. The story revolves around a girl named Hiyo who goes to a school for monsters where you meet Kurou who is one of the leading monsters in the monster society because he is a crow. One of my favorite parts about the manga was learning all about his past with Hiyo and seeing their relationship evolve into something much, much bigger than the two of them.
Later in the series you find out what their destiny and the fates that they're meant to follow and it honestly just kind of melts your heart when you see how much they truly love each other.I would have liked to see a little more character developement from some of the characters especially Hiyo, but I loved all of them just as much with or without it. What can I say? I'm a sucker for love. -_-"
The ending is one of the cheesiest I've seen in a shoujo manga, but you really love it because it fits with the whole story. It's completely cute and adorable so I recommend this series for anyone who just wants to feel all warm and fuzzy inside at the end. ^^ read more

What if your future wasn’t yours?
What if you were promised to someone else?
What if that person wasn’t human?
An old legend, a boy, and a girl.
I won’t lie, the story disappointment me a little, I expected something a little darker in theme. The first few (20+) chapters will make you wonder if the summary is of the wrong manga. It isn’t dark, at all. It has so much potential to be but the characters and the lack of plot development make it fluffy and sweet, no difference from other manga except in the characters themselves being monsters and that adding a little salt to the sugar sweet mix.
Not to say that it is all predictable, not at all, you don’t really know what’s going to happen until you turn the page and see what new character flies in and tells you their motive, which they do instantly, most want the same thing. No good drama here. And the only reason it lacks any predictability is because there are so many random characters who so far (halfway through) serve no real purpose other than adding an extra chapter in an otherwise short manga.
It was hard to even take this manga seriously. Hopefully that was the design of it. Example one, random dialogue..
-“Have you heard the rumor about sensei?”
-“Rumor?”
-”Yup, although he looks like a cute little boy, whenever he sees a girl who he thinks is not bad… he enlarges!”
-What enlarges?!”
And this is a perfect example of the humor you will see constantly on almost every page turn in Love Monster. It is perverted and everyone seems to be, either captivated by the heroine, or wants to hold her captive for lecherous purposes or because of her specialness.
That being said it gets better, it just takes a long, very long time for it to get there. More than halfway through. The ending chapter is what give this manga any justice and the 2D characters get depth. And the twist in the story makes it interesting and give it purpose, otherwise it's just recollections of the high school lives of monsters.
The chapters seem repetitive because the new “villain” is always after the same objective. To top it off the villains lack villainess, for those who don’t know villainess is that extra ingredient that makes and evil person (villain) evil.
There are four main characters but in reality there are far too many to name. They each add humor to the story, whether by words or by expressions. Some are smart, cute, funny and a very few are dark and secretive.
The heroine is a cliche and as dumb as a dead goldfish at times but it's part of her charm. Even though her power is so "magnificent" she is ALWAYS being saved by someone, preferably Kouro, the main guy of the story
Every few chapter, three or so, has a new characters introduced, which makes it hard to remember their names.
The art was cute nearly gorgeous at times. Hiyo is drawn to look like she a middle school-er but all is forgiven since her attitude reflects that of a young teenager. Everyone is drawn normally and added their animal characteristics, at times it looks like them cosplaying. It looks very well drawn when they use their power or when the characters morph in their monster self.
It sounds a little harsh but underneath it all the story is quite humorous and romantic. And if like me halfway through you are thinking, "Hey the only thing it needs are vampire.s"..wait for it.

Normal girl and monster guy type set up.
Both are about a young girl with special power, which is saved and protected by a very good looking winged demon. And both are a little smut. Though Love Monster is a little more.
Similiar main characters (black bird & MOE damsel in distress)...
School setting and surrounded by other handsome male monsters around..
A little rated content also for both... many similiarities but plot is different.
they both have a girl with something supernatural about then. and a guy with black wings. and then they fall in love, but they have obstacles to overcome together while falling for each other.
Both involve a story where one girl is wanted by many other monsters. In black bird is may be for the girls blood, hand in marriage, and in love monster reasons also vary. Another similarity is that both lead girl characters are protected by a handsome male monster that wants their hand in marriage.
there is a girl who falls in love with a perverted not human character in both of these mangas and she faces many problems..
both are shoujou romance mangas dealing with crow demons and the world of monsters. also both have well drawn bishies ^^
Both guys are crows and extremely powerful. They both fell inlove with the heroines (childhood friends!) a long time ago. The heroines are also 'brides' of the main guys. There are also events that are too similar, like the heroine's sealed memories, and both are a bit smutty.

Two ecchi-ish love stories involving monsters/demons. The plots are very different, but these two stories have similar feel. Though Akuma is much more smut than love monster
Well, there's also a cool guy with black hair and black wings, only this time it is the devil. :D
I find that the female characters are also pretty similar, especially the characters.
And it's pretty smutty too...
They have about the same concept.
A supernatural male is in love with a human innocent girl. Akuma na Eros is however meant for more mature audiences and has a shorter story. I personally liked how Love Monster was longer and had more characters involved, however, Akuma na Eros is also very good and like I said for adults only, smutty towards the end! ^_^
