I've never written a review for any work of art, be it movies, music, video games, comics, books, anything.. but reading this made me want to write how I felt about it and share it here. Even if no one ever reads this, I'll feel better having written down my feelings and thoughts about this manga.

I'm new to anime and manga. So far, this whole world of media has connected with me in ways no other modes ever have. Anime and manga storied have made me feel things I didn't know anything other than real life could- Care for characters, being seriously invested in them ... as people, leading to sadness, joy, and other strong emotions I would have otherwise never felt outside of 'real life.'

This manga hit me the strongest out of the few I have read up to this point. So much so I need to write this review to help me process how I feel. If you've ever had depressive episodes in your life, extreme anxiety, family problems, childhood issues, money problems.. all real life things so many struggle with alone, this manga will bring those feelings front and center, as the characters here endure these types of hardships, so much so they wish to die.

I felt connected to both characters in a way I've never felt before. They seemed... HUMAN. Relatable. You understand them and wish the best for them, or you see yourself in them. There is no happy ending here, as there is no happy ending in so many people's stories and lives. That's what it is to be human. Do we have control over our situations and surroundings? Or is it what we choose to do in response to them that makes the difference? How do we forgive others, or ourselves? Is it fear that keeps us from killing those we hate, or is it bravery? This story attempts to answer those questions from the view of people who are at the lowest pits of despair.

In any case, I should warn future readers of triggers in this story: Self harm, suicide, r*pe, prostitution, homelessness and foster care, deaths in family.

If you want to feel human, if don't mind being sad, if you want to FEEL for others, read this. I just wish it was longer, even if the story remained the same.

I also know the guide below advises against reviews like this, but I don't care if anyone reads this. I just need to share, somehow, what I feel.

Well, be careful if you decide to read this manga because it takes a nose dive into the darkness.

I read this long ago, for no particular reason. I think I was drawn to the cover art.

I can only recall the feeling of sadness watching these hopeless characters interact with one another about their internal pains.

... I can't remember how it ended. Just feeling the hollowness & stress of all the meetings that took place in the manga.

This is one of those mangas where it's interesting, but I wouldn't really recommend it unless you're trying to get more exposure to different psychological genre mangas.

Generic/cliche story and characters trying to hide under pretty words, slight philosophy and mainstream sugar coated darkness. Complete with same old formulated, generic/cliche, eye rolling “sympathize with me”/”like me!!!!” scenes, some of which really hurt identity of key characters and the story.

Tired/predictable story formula:
Suicidal girl meets “him” > you know what happens > you know what happens > you know what happens > end. In between, skippable/unimportant/boring dialogue and drawn out events to force the story into the next stage of the formulated story…well most of the time anyways. The surprises aren't worth reading the whole story.
The ending was decent tough, somewhat beautiful but ... also somewhat ruined.



Seriously tough, How much do they pay you 10/10 guys?
