Strobe Edge and Suki desu Suzuki-kun!! are shoujo manga with prominent relationship developments. At the core of the story, we have a main female protagonist who attracts the attention of main male characters. Romance is evident as the story progresses and we learn more about them. There is also drama that reaches to climatic points. Expect both friendships and rivalries to develop between the main characters. Anyone who is interested in shoujo should give these two titles a try for their more complicated drama.

Ao Haru Ride and Suki desu Suzuki-kun!! are rom-com series that details character relationships. Romance is a pivotal part of the main leads' development with the main femle characters. Through building connections, they establish a deeper meaning in their relationship. The story also involves bits of the past that connects with the present story. As such, expect background stories to be explored. Drama is also very evident in both series as characters goes through some emotional scenarios.

Both mangas have a very complicated love triangle/rectangle relationship between childhood friends. Also, the drama "really" starts when a new girl appears and really messes with everyone's feelings. On a small side-note, Suki desu Suzuki-kun is longer (several volumes) and really goes in-depth about the relationships and their lives. I guess it can be described as more mature....as in dealing with more mature topics (separation, in-secureness, memory loss, growing up, etc.) rather than Dear!'s love between friends.

Unlike Kimi ni Todoke, "Suki desu Suzuki-kun!!" has two main couples, but one of the main couples in S.D.S. (Sayaka x Hikaru), remind me of Sawako and Kazehaya. Both Sawako and Sayaka are really shy, just like how both Kazehaya and Hikaru are really outgoing.

Both series have two people with same name (Suzuki for Suki desu Suzuki-kun!! and Makoto for Youkoso! Hohoemi Ryou e), and they both involve in sports and love.
