I'm a sucker for complicated high school romances & this definitely hits the spot. This is a realistic high school series and the kids' feelings & behaviours are quite genuine. I don't want to spoil the ending but I will say that it's the perfect conclusion to this story, considering the characters, their ages, & their love stories.

Great Manga! I finished it years ago and still remember it's awesome goodness!
Much UNlike Aihara's other work, Hot Gimmick, the drama and scenarios here are decently believable and not overplayed.
Mimori is a much stronger character, and is immediately embracing due to her opening scene in the first volume. She has such simple, relatable desires. She just wants to be pretty and wear the cutest uniform available to her. What girl can't see her on that? I mean, when I was Mimori's age, I definitely wanted to be pretty and wear cute clothes.
Even the dramatic things that happen are relatively realistic. I mean, there are some things that either only happen in Japan or rarely happen in the US, but then again, this manga was written in Japan anyways. Bearing that in mind makes these situations real enough to avoid any possible cheesiness.
Overall, a freakin great manga. read more

In both the main character(Hatsumi Narita/Mimori Kosaka) are easygoing and are good at making friends. Neither of them go looking for a relationship but both stories have love triangles. In Hot Gimmick there is Hatsumi Narita and her childhood bully and protector(along with maybe others..). and in Tokyo Boys & Girls there is Mimori Kosaka an old classmate(friend...or not??) and a popular playboy. Both stories also have extra drama involving parents to keep the stories lines a little more interesting..over all I would say both are really good

These two mangas are really similar, the art, the characters (seriously alot alike), the situations (such as the transfering troubles) and the never ending are they getting together or not? kinda thing.
