same author, Clamp
and it has lot of cute things, but also sad moments
Even though both stories are very different with CCS having a lot of romance and TRC having a lot of action, they both become serious stories. Some characters from CCS are included in the TRC story.
Both manga are by CLAMP.
a) both the main characters are named Sakura and Syaoran in both series.
b) both are made by CLAMP.
c) Tsubasa [later in the series], is proved to be a continuation of CCS of sorts.
d) a lot of the people in CCS are included in Tsubasa [as Tsubasa is a crossover of nearly every CLAMP serialisation].
e) both include really cute romantic elements.

Magic powers, upbeat protagonists, cute serious love-interests, Similar-thin lined art style, spunky mascots, what else can I say? =D
Similar leading characters, an innocent, sweet, but spunky girl, and a boy who is mean to her at first, but then starts to fall for her. Also both feature elementary aged kids, and darker underlying themes. Finally both are magical girl type stories (but Gakuen Alice is more of a school drama), and both have an emphasis on special (or magical) children.
- romance
- magic
- similar feeling
- Syaoran/ Natsume almost same treated Sakura/Mikan: they didn't like these girls, but later fall in love with them
- Sakura and Mikan are similar too - not only in personality
- comedy (but GA later has more drama)
- etc.

I picked these two because they are both about girls who are sent to save the world. They both lost their families and they even have their own sidekicks! The mangas are full of adventure and emotions that everyone would like.
Both of these Manga revolve around a girl with powers to seal evil. There is a boy who appears to be a rival in the beginning but in the end, they both fight the evil together and fall in love.
In CCS, sakura seals clowcards with the help of Kero, In Jeanne maron seals demons in paintings with help of Fin.

Both the mangas are to do with magic
Very similar in both art and storyline.

Compared to some of CLAMP's works such as Tsubasa RC and X/1999, Kobato is more relaxing and gives the reader a light-hearted shoujo-feeling. Many things in Kobato (e.g. the clutzy heroine, the cute animals) remind the reader of Card Captor Sakura.

Both magical school girls trying to save/help the world/friends. Where the main characters slowly fall in love with each other. Though the opposite CCS is boy falls in love first but Hime-chan is Girl falls first.
