now Im not really into BL manga or anime, mainly because I'm a straight dude who likes big burly men fighting each other, which sounds gay but it really isn't. Now onto topic, our dining table is a Shounen ai, BL, Yaoi what ever you want to title it manga, it follows a man who is bad at eating with others named Yutaka, he meets two brothers named Minoru and Tane and begins to eat with them.

out of all the fujoshi garbage in the world, our dining table stands out to me as a truly human and relatable manga, its heartwarming and a joy to ... read from start to finish, it's a feel good manga in every sense and I had a blast reading it, it doesn't feel like its making a big deal about them being gay, it feels like a romance done well just they happen to be dudes, it was a great read start to finish.

The characters are lovely, each of them feel relatable and human, they all share what feels like a bit of me inside them and it's really touching to see, I specifically enjoyed seeing the growth of Yutaka throughout its short length, The art was nice albeit a bit rough at times other then that excellent!

I found myself thoroughly enjoying this manga and think its a series definitely worth giving a shot, even if your not into bl, I think this is a great read nether less.

I LOVED this manga. I'm shocked to see it doesn't have any reviews here yet. It is pretty hard to find - I had to read the second half of it from the gallery of a BL Facebook page, haha - but it is there!
If you're looking for a wholesome and SFW shounen ai manga with a true love story, this is it!
This is just... so. fucking. cute. You can really feel the love that blossoms between the main characters. Minoru's little brother (Tane) definitely made the story for me - the interactions between the protagonist (Yutaka) and Tane, and how that made Minoru fall ... in love with him even more... ugh. My heart was MELTING. They're the perfect little family. The story is just so gentle and so genuine. The mangaka really creates a world you never want to leave - the art is so beautiful, there isn't a single unlikable character in the whole manga, and it's just so. damn. WHOLESOME.
There seem to be quite a few shounen ai that revolve around food for some reason (lol), but this one really works. I couldn't put it down, but at the same time, I never wanted it to end.
Speaking of the ending, though... I personally couldn't have asked for a better one. I love it. For a lot of reasons. But no spoilers!
I'll definitely read this again ASAP so I can give a more in-depth review, but for now I just wanted to get this out there and say that if you're considering this one, read it!!

I can see what this manga was going on. A wholesome portrayal of two non-conflicting adults and one adorable child. The problem is, it feels empty.

There is a lack of any “meat” to the story. The manga feels more like an outline of the content than the actual final product. A quick, fleeting moment without much context before and after it, just hastily thrown together. Sure, you could argue that the wholesomeness enough is what makes this great, but I wouldn’t value the one here that highly. It certainly is no Yotsubato.

The art is pretty good, I’ll admit that, and it’s mainly thanks to ... it that the main appeal of wholesomeness works at least to some degree. However, the manga still goes by without any real memorable moment, ending as suddenly as it begins. Is the notion of this being a consensual relationship between two males a.k.a. this not being a terribly cliché BL enough for the manga to be considered great? Maybe within the genre, but for a more general rating, I’m sorry but my standards are a bit higher than that.
