Synopsis

Ichitaka Seto is a 16-year-old high school student who is hopelessly in love. He is smitten with Iori Yoshizuki, a classmate who recently became famous after featuring in a magazine. However, Ichitaka has been unable to convey his affection, hung-up on a brutal rejection in the past. As luck would have it, Ichitaka finds himself paired up with Iori in the Freshman Welcoming Ceremony.

Despite some mishaps, things go well between the two. But when Ichitaka's childhood friend, Itsuki Akiba, comes crashing into his place, things take a drastic turn, and the three individuals' relationship gets off to a complicated start.

I started reading I''s because i wanted to see if there was something else in the romcoms of the past in comparation of what we have now with the typical structure of the romcoms.

It was worthy? For the most part is a yes but i can't deny if someone would bring up a big no too. Let me explain:

As an avid romance manga lover I couldn't believe there was a "gem" out there I hadn't found out about (there's a bunch I haven't read yet, but I do know of their existence). Following that, I gotta say I was a bit disappointed. The writing was meh most of the time, with characters needing to lie, hide stuff, or jumps to conclusions in order to drive the plot, which is an automatic "lazy writing" characteristic in my book.

I can see how if this is one of your first romance mangas you can get hooked, cause it has that good "keeping you engaged" ...
