Synopsis

The story centers on a sophomore named Kanako who enrolls in all-girls school because she has a phobia of men and wants find her destined yuri partner. She meets a captivating freshman named Mariya who fits her criteria—except her seemingly ideal mate happens to be a cross-dressing sadistic boy.

Background

Maria†Holic was first published in English by Tokyopop with 6 volumes released from September 1, 2009 to February 3, 2011 before publication was discontinued. Kadokawa Bookwalker digitally published the series in English from December 24, 2014 to November 25, 2015. One Peace Books physically published the series from July 12, 2016 to February 13, 2018, with the first 6 volumes collected in 3-in-1 omnibuses and the latter 7 in single volumes.

Story:
Though it reminds me of Strawberry Panic, it has something unique. Cross-dressing?! My my!

Art:
Good! Even if it has nose-bleeding moments! xD

Character:
Mariya calling Kanako "YURI-girl". Heh, that's really amazing! What confuses me is that every character is presented really fast, but I hope we will get to know them better in the following chapters. Kanako says "Dear mother in Heaven", which reminds me of Haruhi Fujioka from Ouran.

Why did I like this manga?
So far I have read 2 chapters and I'm in for more!
