After reading even a part of the chapters, you will probably feel the need to listen to some rock music, as the manga doesn’t have a soundtrack, but only the idea of music, so the story has some impact over the reader. Yet, you may get anxious because the plot evolves not so rapidly. Only after many chapters, all the group members will gather together. So, be patient if you wish to read this manga to its last chapters. On the contrary, in the last chapters, the action evolves very quick, so the story isn’t very well balanced. Still, I think this is a funny story, so you should enjoy reading it.
Another minus for this series is the way the view over life changes from the start to the end. I mean… firstly, it sounded like it was realistic or so, but in the end, I was extremely surprised to find out that the series had a very complex psychological theme, about the origin of Romio’s voice.
The graphics are pretty good, I don’t have anything to complain about from this point of view. Also, the characters are funny and charismatic.
I recommend Bremen to people that enjoy music mangas.

Lol, what is this?
Bremen is a series that doesn’t seem to focus too much on any genre. It begins as a comedy around the formation of a teen rock band, then becomes a social drama around the exploitation of teen models and ends up being sci-fi mystery around a sect that plans global conquest. It sounds weird but it could work out if the pacing was done right.
…And it wasn’t. Everything unfolds too fast. You hardly get to grasp the situation before the story turns to something else. The first part reminded me of something between Beck and Detroit Metal City and I must say it was ok. The Bremen members are plain retards yet ready to take on the world, lol. The second part is also ok but just not as appealing as without the high amount of comedy and the fast pace, it feels kinda disjoined. The last part… lol, wut? Where did that come from? Some more foreshadowing wouldn’t be bad.
The artwork is rather crude and stiff at times but it ain’t much of a problem. The mangaka is doing a semi-professional work that is generally very good for such an underground theme. You can see he has given a lot of passion in his drawings and that is a major plus.
Bremen could be great if it wasn’t moving so damn fast and random. The characters are indeed funny and interesting, the comedy is rather successful and the themes are played along nicely. It is still a good read but it could have been a lot more. read more

Well, where to start?
First: the same author, and because of that very similiar art ^^ which is I must to say a grat one, and a funny one - you have to read to see what I mean :)
Second: Main character (boy; with misterious past - it's actually more to Bremen's Romio, than to Hareluya, but still we know very little about Hibinio's past, he just showed up in town; is very strong, has one particular move/talent - Romio with coins, and Hibino with pulling things out of his back, often the bat; becomes a lead vocalist in rock band; has a strong will; in general is good person and natural leader; ... probably a lot more, just don't remember it now :)
Third: rock, rock, more rock, and a lot of fights. In Bremen it's from the start about making band and music, and in Hareluya it's just recently became main topic (recently I mean chapter 120, or something ;P)
Fourth: value of friendship, never giving up, making your dreams come true and so others very high values
Fifth: this recomendation get too long, so you just to have to read Bremen or Hareluya II Boy, and I guarantee you - if you liked one you are sure to love the other one :D

Basically, it's the same thing, but Bremen's characters have a different personality, they have much more self-confidence. And... there is some supernatural at the end of the plot, you'll see. Also, Bremen is somewhat more violent.
