5. Welcome to the University of Love (Ai no University e Youkoso)
One day at a college campus in Japan, Riku was waking up from a nap during lunchtime. Problem is? He likes to sleep on the rooftop. After waking up that day, to him it seemed like it would be just a normal schoolday. However, due to dreariness, as he begins to climb down the nearby tree to head to class, he loses his balance and slips. However, the handsome foreign transfer student, Kairi Lawrence, who also happens to be the son of a billionaire, catches him as he falls. And afterwards they become friends. But because of the constant looming presence of Kairi's bodyguards, and the isolation of his fellow classmates, Riku feels like he's not living the normal campus life he wants to. And it's only a matter of time before he confronts Kairi about it and cuts their friendship ties.

This couple, Isumi and Okimiya, really reminded me of Souichii and Morinaga from Koisuru Boukun. Except for the fact that in comparison, Isumi is waaaay nicer. But this was a really cute story, and it wasn't extremely predictable. The plot was good, and there was enough, uh, *cough* sex *cough* to keep the reader happy in that area, though I wasn't bored for a second. This is now one of my favorite Haruka Minami stories.
This story wasn't 100% perfect, but was really close!! The plot was cute, and beleivable, and also contained realism. (Plus I'm a major Koisuru Boukuin fan.)
As per usual, I loved Minami's art style, and I personally think this was one of her most well drawn books.
The masculine(ish) uke type was refreshing, especially from Minami's usually helpless, petite, and extremely feminine ukes. But he was still cute, and the seme was still drop-dead-gorgeous, but also had his own weaknesses. So no one was perfect, but that's good!
I most always enjoy a Minami story, and this was no exception. I loved reading it, and I didn't put it down for a second. I wish I could own this story so that I could read it over and over again.
There were three 9's and one 10, so it gets a nine. It's not my ABSOLUTE MOST favorite Minami story, but it is tied for second. And for that it deserves a nine. Kudos to Minami-sensei!! read more
