SynopsisAfter being dumped, followed closely by her grandmother's sudden death, the chubby Yuri is left broke and homeless. That is until she discovers that her grandmother had been lying to her for years. Her mother is not dead, but is in fact a famous movie star, and very much alive.
Upon arriving at her mother's house, she meets her three new beautiful siblings, all from different fathers. Her newfound family is filled with hilarious oddities, ranging from laziness to drunkennes to gay incest. She is constantly antagonized by her brothers Sumire and Aoi. And her sister Fuyou does little to help. And thus Yuri becomes little more than a maid in the household, catering to her siblings needs while her mother travels the world. But as Yuri's warmth fills the house which before had been so cold...what will happen between her and her brothers? Can they come to see each other as siblings before it's too late? I thought: that's the typical shoujo: ugly girl, beautiful boys, lots of cliche, etc. But I was kinda (just kinda) wrong.
Ok I'd say that I like this manga, I'm currently reading it. Ok, ugly, fatty and idiot girl, dumped by his boyfriend, alone in the world, somehow has now three beautiful brothers (2 brothers and a sister)... cliché.
And I thought: ok... next chapter she's the most beautiful girl in the manga. But I was wrong and that pleased me. She's "building" her beauty, not just with her body, but with her personality. Even now, that I'm almost finishing reading, she's not omg so beautiful. She continues fatty, shorty, but she's growned kindness and she's more mature now. I like that reality in the story. And I've started liking the other character too.
The art is good, I would say the classic art for shoujo (little details, just can drawn good looking man etc)
BUT, now I'm talking about the bad things. The manga HAS a lot of cliché. The love triangle, the "I don't know if I'm gay" thing (girls love this, I don't know why), and other things. Don't expect the best story that has something very surprising in the end. It's just normal life.
Ok, after saying all this... I'm giving an 8 (very good) to this manga. As a shoujo, is a very good one, not just "We love each other but our love is impossible bla bla" thing. If you're a shoujo fan, read it! read more

I really love this manga. I think the story is very interesting and the characters are very realistic and have depth. The main character, Yuri, is very sweet and lovable. I can really relate to her problems like feeling self conscious, etc. I think most women can! There is a good balance between tragedy and comedy and it's also got some mystery.
The art is very pretty but at times it seems a little bit rushed (understandable though because it's so detailed!). But otherwise, it's absolutely perfect! In my opinion, anyway. ^_~
If you enjoy romance, comedy, drama, Shoujou, or Josei, this manga will probably appeal to you. Also, if you like the manga, there is a live-action Taiwanese TV series based on it called The Rose. You can see clips of it on Youtube. read more
