This story is about the developing relationship between a teacher and his student. At home they are married. While at school they are student and teacher. The teacher is male and much older who used to be a delinquent when he was younger. The student is female and thinks she's a sort of Joan of Arc since she has a sense of righteous justice and as such she comes across violent since she beats people up if they do wrong. The lead girl has a younger brohter and they are both orphans who ran away from a troubled home (their relatives). While they were staying on a park bench they were found (since he was looking for her because of all the missed school days) by her sensei. As a challenge and to use him for money the lead girl tells the sensei to marry her and to her surprise they do. So her and her little brother end up at his house and she's his wife with it a secret by everyone else. In the book he has a neighbor who is also his best friend for 10 years and happens to be the lead girl's little brother's (Teppei's) kindagarten's teacher.
The summary above doesn't give justice to a well thought out student/teacher story. A lot of the time there's this weirdness in the relationship or the teacher tends to take advantage this is not the case here. I liked the story for good continuity, the story flowed without too much conflict, and the art work was great with really good character development through trials and tribulations. You really grow to like the story. Although it appears mediocre, it's far from it and has a good balanced and light hearted story included in it.
Some moments of extreme funny is every initial scene when sensei comes home there are cosplay displays (sensei has a fetish of cosplay). Because of his fetish he has the lead girl and her little brother (Teppei) dress up in paired cosplay uniforms if they want to eat dinner. In actuality he doesn't force Teppei, Teppei just like dressing up because he gets all the hugs and loving. It's adorable. The little 4 year old is adorable and I love him in cosplay gear.
If this was turned into a live action show, I wouldn't mind. The manga hasn't been updated yet, but so far it's well developed and I think most people will have fun with it. read more

Overall, so far I believe it has great potential to develop into a great manga. its a kind of 'forbidden student-teacher relationship', and at first it seemed weird how the two characters got into that situation (in my own opinion).
I like this manga (so far) because it has just the right amount of drama, heaps of comedy and also really good fluffy moments. The Tanaka-sensei gradually shows us bits and pieces of each character and makes it a fun read by adding very cute and annoyingly stupid/cute moments (if in real-life) - which can really make you laugh.
During the serious/dramatic moments, the artwork (which is usual) is more detailed protraying the beauty of the moment, though even these moments can sometimes be a little 'rough around the edges' (sometimes a little dull for me). The funny parts definitely have artwork that does a good supporting the scene.
Definitely give this story as shot -- their beginning may be a little weird at first but the moments the couple has makes you want to have the next chapter out already!
A great laugh for when you need one, with equally great fluff moments for when you need that 'happiness/giddy' shot. read more

both are about love between teacher and student. Drawing is very nice for eye in FTaK and 7J-mR because of author - Meca Tanaka.
I think that everyone who likes tabu-pairings should read it.
if you like F.T.A.K.... try reading 7 Jikanme Rhapsody... same manga creator... and almost the same story... both of them are about a student and teacher love story!
Same mangaka; '7' is like a short, early version of 'Kiss.' Both are light shoujos about teacher-student romance, mostly directed toward the teacher from the student. The teacher generally does his best to be discreet. The teachers in both are VERY similar (though Makoto-sensei is a bit more wacko).
Biggest differences are length, and that 'Kiss' starts out with the couple already married.
Faster than a Kiss and 7 Jikan-me Rhapsody are both made by Tanaka Meca-sensei. Moreover, they are both about a teacher-student relationship, but in 7 Jikan-me Rhapsody, they didn't get married, but instead, the teacher accepted the student's confession after graduation. It was just a one-shot, but still it's a great story. Both mangas are whacky too and will make you laugh.
Both manga involve a teacher and a student who like each other but are insecure because of rivals. Also, it involves keeping secrets and holding back because of their relationship in public. The art is very similar too, because the manga-ka is the same.

Kazuma from Faster than a kiss really reminds me of Usui from KWMS. They are really similar, not only their appearance but also how they like to tease the girl they like =) The dynamics of both couples is really funny because of all the teasing. Also, there are some similarities between Fumino and Misaki: the guys in their school are afraid of getting beaten by them =)
Yeah both male and female characters have same attitude , and drawing stile .
But male character in "Faster than a Kiss" is bit older .
Same genre - School life , slice of life , Romance .
if you like Kaichou wa Maid-sama then you will love Faster than a Kiss
Both female protagonists can protect themselves but are innocent and scared when it comes to love. Both male protagonists too are good fighters and somehow* have a similar family background. They also have a secret to protect their reputation. Plus, in both manga, there is this random cute cosplaying. :3
Both characters are pretty similar, though the situation of the story differs. The female leads are both very strong-willied, short-temepered, and very inncocent with their significant other. There is lots of flirting in both mangas. The guy leads are strong, cool characters and are shown "holding back" with the female character. They are both adorable!
