I try reading Q.E.D. after I become bored of the so-long story and uninteresting and some impossible trick of Conan. Q.E.D. gives me a more exciting theme to me. All the tricks are based on mathematics calculation and prediction. One thing is that, the main character are more like human (though he a genius), where he can have some mistakes. The story is much more fun and relax while keeping the good standard of mystery story. One thing that I have to note is that all the clues to solve the mystery are clear (if you notice it) rather come from out of nowhere. The read more

It is a very interesting manga. Ayone who likes mysteries with some comedy- This is your type of manga! It has some unique charactor in my opinion. Touma is a genius who wants to know how living as a high schooler is, while Kana is athletic and a bit of an idiot XD The cases are more realistic and you can tell where the evidence came from. It has no "super awesome unrealistic practically magical" tricks. But "awesome realistic scientific or mathematic" tricks. It different from Detective Conan and Clamp school Detectives, Matantei Loki and others. It is unique and copies no one. read more

Compared to other popular mystery manga, Q.E.D are much simpler and more fun to read. Anyone who loves math and science would exceptionally love this manga. The art looks average, but since it plays the main role in leading reader's perspective. I would like to give a high score in the art not for the style but for the author's ability to use picture as main mystery point. Anyway, for anyone who wants to enjoy both text and picture aspect of manga, this manga is highly recommended.

Same author, similiar style of mystery, with similiar main character travelling around the world solving mysteries. The only difference between QED and Rocket Man is that Rocket Man has a main line story (and so an ending) while QED has not.

They are the same in solving cases brilliantly...
only that Q.E.D goes deeper on using math and science to solve them ;)

Same author with a similar style. In QED, we will see a mystery case based on mathematical logic. On the other hand, in CMB, we will see a case based on history, natural science.
