Synopsis

On a rainy day in the small town of Hinamizawa, classmates Rika Furude and Mion Sonozaki take shelter at the bus stop. As others arrive to seek shelter from the rain, they meet a few interesting people: a freelance writer interested in the local legends of the god Oyashiro, and two officials from the Ministry of Construction discussing the Hinamizawa Dam Project—something Rika is against as it threatens to destroy their town. However, the project is not going smoothly as there has been an unusual string of deaths surrounding the construction of the dam. While some dismiss these deaths as pure coincidence, rumors among the townsfolk connect them to "Oyashiro's Curse."

I was honestly really expectant to read this manga, and it didn't disappoint me. The way the horror and gore scenes are portrayed is very well made and sometimes it was even disgusting (I have no problem with gore but if you are easily triggered by it, be careful when reading this manga).

I love the Higurashi series so much and even though I haven't finished the other manga I couldn't wait to read this one. I think the author did an amazing work here and that Higurashi fans are surely pleased. I actually wished it was longer.

Advice!

If you haven't seen/read the Higurashi no Naku ...

I, myself am not a massive fan of Ryukikishi07's Higurashi series as I am more of an Umineko fan, but even I can say that his manga was REALLY GOOD.
The story, Hinamizawa bus stop, is the base manga for the Higurashi series and focuses around Rika Furude and Mion Sonozaki who are both waiting at the bus stop. During the time they wait the come into contact with several strange people. That's all I'm going to say to avoid spoilers but I recommend this manga if you enjoyed Higurashi or any of Ryukishi07's work.
I really appreciate any who read this review. Thank you, ...

Preliminary (3/10 eps)
*Please note that I will not be comparing Hinamizawa Teiryuujoto it's alternate series Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. It will be rated on my impression of the series itself, not based on outside influences.*

STORY (7)
-The story takes place underneath a bus stop where a group of people share stories to pass the time while waiting for the bus in the rain. The stories however are directed toward the village Hinamizawa and the dam constructing project. The stories though are suspected to be true and that the unexplained deaths explained are caused by Hinamizawa's shrine god Oyashiro. It's basically your typical storytelling manga but with a ...
