First off I'm sure a lot of people are big fans of Ayano-sensei's work, to say the least after reading this and a couple other. I don't think I'll be adding to he fan base. I will say that the story had a lot of potential, it had a lot of good ideas worked into it. I liked a lot of the different ideas that she attempted to put into the work, but story-wise it fell apart. It felt rushed and hardly had any context to it, they talked a lot but said little of any real interest. It was a burden, more than read more

I have to say sadly i was after loving the ova so much i was dissapointed with the manga. the story felt very rushed at times. Don't get me wrong everything i loved from the anime was there I just honestly feel like the manga could have had alot more.

Though i will admit i loved the side story

Both mangas include a pairing between men of different ethnicity. In OtK, though, it starts out as a slavery bond in which the seme owns the uke, while in IIR it is always a mutual love relationship.
Foreign love affair, what more can I say, "Ikoku Irokoi Romantan" is a bit more 'dramatic' maybe and our 'royalty' here is instead the heir to a important yakuza group, but if you’re looking for another BL where the culture and social gap are conflicting forces in a love born from a short meeting, then it's the bloody same thing. Lol xD
