SynopsisYoshida's poor popularity and constant teasing are caused by his unfortunate looks. He's short, scrawny, and is infamous for his almond-shaped eyes and the evident scar which plagues his left cheek. Just when Yoshida's school life continues to spiral down, Satou, the school's celebrity, confesses his love for him! But this is not good news at all when Yoshida assumes the worst in Satou since it's tough to trust those of high social status. With the help of both old and new friends, uncovering past memories, and the life-saving sound of the school bell, will Yoshida ever escape his bitter charades to his true sweet and friendly side?
Aitsu no Daihonmei breaks every rule in the romance handbook in the name of mixed signals, shared memories, and the sweet surrender of after school liaisons! Satou's feelings are crystal clear as Yoshida struggles in concealing his true colors. Blast off to the crazy adventures of Yoshida and Satou as the fruits of their labor grow of both their relationship, and of themselves as well.
A few one shots are included, unrelated to the main story.

This manga... Words cannot describe my love for this series. I check for updates every day, sometimes twice. It's urging on the side of obsession.
Needless to say, this is my favourite shounen ai manga yet. Basically, it's a very light story with lots of humor, cuteness and uke abuse. So if you like seeing ukes being abused and sadistic semes this will definitely be your cup of tea. I know it's mine.
Also, don't be fooled by the tag and think this is yaoi, because so far there hasn't been any action. It doesn't keep us perverts from hoping though, eh?

This is probably one of the legendary ten yaoi that we're actually grateful to exist. Yes, it is that good, and it comes from a yaoi basher. Because we all know how horribly, amazingly idiotic and illogical yaoi can be, right?
So what is different here? The difference between this piece of masterpiece and thousands of other... UNPLEASANT yaoi manga is that this manga does. Not. Force it.
It is so realistic, yet so cute. It THANKFULLY has no unnecessary sex scenes at ALL, it doesn't show too many kisses or cuddles or stupid sentimental crap, yet it gives you that "oh-my-God-so-cute" feeling without a problem. It is in fact more of a shounen-ai, but most of all, it is a simple romantic comedy.
The fact it is yaoi doesn't really change many things and that is what I loved about it. The fact this is about homosexuals in a romantic relationship only serves to make it a bit stranger and funnier, considering the manga is somewhat of a parody on the whole "girls love a popular bishounen" thingy. And this time, all the girls... and I mean ALL of them are chasing after one single damn guy (Satou), who happens to like one other single guy (Yoshida), whom all the other girls hate. And it is freakin' hilarious, because here, that horde of horny women is actually a great comical relief, and a great exaggerating point of manga. That horde is always, constantly on a mission to win Satou over, and to kick Yoshida out of realm of existence.
And on top of all, it doesn't necesarily revolve just around the main couple, and the supporting cast is greatly introduced, they are there in almost every chapter, and they also have a lot of character development. Expect awesomeness, which is a great success for a yaoi. Huge.
So what exactly can you expect from this manga? You can expect comically planted bishounens, love-craving "regular" people, comical relief woman horde, tons of laugh, a few fine parodies, and an unexpectedly cute "ugly" character to love.

Two well-known examples of the "ugly cute" trend found within BL manga.
Both are stories which involve a handsome guy falling in love with a boy, which is considered to be rather ugly by the others. If you found Kikoenai Koe appealing to your tastes, you will definitely like Aitsu no Daihonnmei.

These series are really different, but somehow, Aitsu no Daihonmei feels like the romance verision of Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro. MTNN is a dark (But comic) detective manga about the sadistic daemon Nougami Neuro who has come to earth to eat riddles, and forces high school student Katsuragi Yako to help him capture criminals. Aitsu is the story of the "Ugly" boy Yoshida, bullied by all girls in his class because the good looking and nice Saitou (Who is acctually quite sadistic) is allways using him as an excuse to not be with the girls who keeps asking him out.
Neuro and Saitou are both double faced, and both likes and keeps tormenting thier counterparts (Neuro does it way more extreme and bizarre (Not pervy tought))
Aitsu, even if it got a yaoi tag, don't really have anny sex scenes or stuff.
(And both are really good)
