Steel Rose (Manhua)

The stories and characters are pretty different but the fact that they are manhua with settings in NY and Paris is similar and they incorporate people from the design world. If you like The One give Steel Rose a try. The prequel to Steel Rose, Ingenuo is about the world of photography and this runs into Steel Rose too and so does fashion, so if you like The One try both this and it's parent story. Lois, the male lead, will appeal to readers who don't mind a man who does not care if he looks feminine he is still a man in love with a girl. And his back story will appeal to readers of The One also. Le Ting is a VERY strong masculine type girl with a tough personality since she was an Olympic athlete. So if you like strong female leads she is it. Louis is a guy who falls for his polar opposite. Its not a gender bender as in cross dressing but their personalities are the opposite of what is "typical" of the sexes.

If you liked W Juliet try Steel Rose. Both have a couple where the guy and girl seem like the opposite of what is typical of the sexes. In Steel Rose, she is a taekwondo olympic athlete while in W Juliet she is the daughter of a doujo owner and good at martial arts. The guy in W Juliet is forced to play the other gender for his acting career while in Steel Rose he is raised more feminine by his mom. So while Steel Rose is not really a gender bender it has a tone like that while W Juliet is a true gender bender. The relationship between the couple is more affectionate in W Juliet and the plots are pretty different but they are both interesting romances which are a lot of fun and both are complete and both are strong on characterization.
