 According to their panel at Anime Boston, Aniplex of America announced that the anime series Sword Art Online is to air on Toonami this August. Aniplex of America also outlined its home video release of Sword Art Online on Blu-ray and DVD as well as its re-release of Blue Exorcist on DVD and for the first time on Blu-ray. The dub cast for Sword Art Online stars Bryce Papenbrook as Kirito and Cherami Leigh as Asuna. Other cast members include Cassandra Lee Morris as Leafa, Christine Marie Cabanos as Silica, Sarah Williams as Lisbeth, and Patrick Seitz as Agil. Sword Art Online dub trailer from AniplexUSA. | Aniplex has confirmed the early listings for a four-part Sword Art Online home video releas. The plans have the four English subtitled/English dubbed Blu-ray sets selling for $112.98 each and the four DVDs at $49.98, dated for monthly release August through November. I was going to buy the first 12 Episodes of SAO becuase I enjoyed the first arc and hated ALO to no ends; however, I lol'd @ the Blu-ray price and now I say "Fuck that shit." |

| Anyways, I'm totally okay with this. As much as I want Fate/Zero to air on TV, this is the timeslot that got Deadman Wonderland good ratings. Toonami know their audience and they're capitalising on it. And that's perfectly okay. |

That's not one I would EVER have imagined them dubbing or airing. Not saying it was bad, just very much NOT the mainstream stuff Toonami usually shows. Granted I haven't checked up on Toonami for years after getting used to subs (glorious subs), so maybe their stance has changed. Now, SAO fits Toonami perfectly - it's easy to digest. Yep. Toonami aired Deadman Wonderland. Toonami tries to air popular shows or show people shows they never would have otherwise looked at. Like Casshern Sins. Also, Toonami has changed considerably. For one, it was canceled in 2008, and Adult Swim revived it in 2012, making it much more Adult oriented, have less censorship, and also have less money, meaning they sometimes have to get cheap shows. The people who run Toonami also have more control over it now. |
| Good for SAO fans. The new generation of western anime watchers will grow up with SAO just as their predecessors grew up with Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball, Pokemon, and Naruto. When will Accel World air on Toonanmi? It also has a dub. But it is licensed by Viz Media. |
