| Yup, nothing short of epic. The only thing I'm sad about is that Tachikoma got their butts kicked again, and this time, for good. Then again, they saved the world Dejima. I still have the movie to watch, but it would be great to see a third season... 9/10 |

| I believe the song was an old children's song (or nursery rhyme) in Japanese. It kinda reminded me of the songs of Kenji Kawai from the two GiTS movies of Oshii. | I just finished watching this for the very first time. it was the dub. keeping the tachikoma's song in japanese was a wonderful touch. but kuze... there are tears in my eyes. I'm almost sad that I'll never be able to experience this for the first time again. |

| Damn!!! The Major couldn't save Kuze. I'm so upset about that. And it turns out that Kuze WAS that boy that she fell in love with all those years ago. The Tachikoma's were so brave. It's ashamed that they were all replaced with dull, green, replicas. I felt that punch that Ishikawa gave that guy!! Did anyone else cheer when Gouda's body was mangled by the hail of gunfire??? Guess Batou will never confess his love to the Major...oh well. |

| What a awesome anime...poor Tachikoma D: but dam the Fuchikoma are so lame looks wise and voice and they don't seem to be independent (or have a Ghost like the Tachikoma) at least for now, maybe their AI will grow and advance like the Tachikoma(?) It was sooo satisfying to see Gouda getting shot to pieces by the Major :D Haha Ishikawa awesome punch! Poor Kuze...he never realized the girl from his past is the Major or did he :( Overall another epic season from GitS SAC, in a few ways the surpassed the first season and vise versa. Loved this series, too bad their aren't any great shows like this nowadays... 9/10 something is preventing me from giving it 10, not sure what =\ Anyways now for the sequel movie....:) |
| Once again, this show hasn't disappointed me. Like the first season, the plot was excellent, the characters were well-developed, everything was just great. There were almost no filler episodes too. And the few filler episodes we did have was for character development, so no complaining there. The ending was just awesome, and filled with symbolism everywhere, like Batou holding the iron support in the shape of a cross to free the major. I still liked the first season just a tad bit more though, probably because I felt more of a connection with the characters. Anyway, it was a really great show. 9/10 |

| I can safely safe this is one of my favourite animes I have ever seen. Such a great final episode, so many amazing scenes. It's so sad to see the Tachikoma's sacrifice themself, and the song they sang really got to me. It seems Kuze didn't make it, that also is a shame. The scene with Ishikawa punching the guy in the face was hilarious :P Seeing Gouda getting shot sure looked interesting as well... his head just exploded o.O |
| Just finished the series. After Seeing the series, I gave it a 10/10 (And i don't give perfect 10/10 scores out a lot.) The Major Uses Full Auto Mode. CRITICAL HIT! FATALITY!! After Gouda got mowed down, i just died laughing and clapped. He SOOOOO Deserved it and it was a long time coming. He should have been killed A LONG Time ago in the series. It was sad that the Major couldn't save Kuze. I'm sure he did upload himself to the net in time though, but i doubt we will ever know. I kinda realized Kuze was the boy many episodes ago. Ishikawa uses Falcon Punch. It's SUPER EFFECTIVE! :D I really hope they make a 3rd Season. Both GITS:SAC and 2nd Gig I watched the English Dubs (Uncensored DVD Rips of Course). This Series, the Dubs were Very Good and Fit Everybody Perfectly. |

I realize I must be really daft - I've watched these episodes at least 10 times over the last 6 years, but I'm still not smart enough to get it T_T Your explanation about the American - Japan coalition really helped me to tie some of the loose ties - though I'll have to watch the Watanabe episode from season1 again. But yes - I guess when you say that it was Gouda's intention to have such a cold war in the 1st place- you've cleared up another doubt I had; Gouda had stated to the major previously (in the Decatonale) that the nation has realized by error in the past that a utopia could only be created by consuming another - and that was where it was headed again (with him prodding it along as the producer) His suggestion of the cold war that would beneft the nation was probably talking about the same issue. Though I had no idea about the 'article 9' thing and I guess that was preventing me from putting 2 and 2 together *_* But thanks a lot TopGun - I owe you one ! whew ! | Excellent series. This had so many epic moments, it felt great when Gouda died, and it was so sad about the Tachikomas. This is one of the greatest series I've watched, truly epic. |

| Epic anime was epic. Tachikomas really saved the day didn't they? In the end they used an American Satellite to intercept the missile. Why they were stored there beats me. I get that the PM when she made that mysterious call, she called in the jet fighters to make the sub go away, right? And Motoko never got to tell Kuze who she was. Sigh. | Pure. Fucking. Brilliance. This is how you end a series, tying everything together with perfect execution and leaving some space for the viewer to interpret and reflect on. After all, my predictions failed. Motoko was ready to share the fruit of fate with Kuze and become the first of a new new world together with him, but the Tachikomas and Batou interfered with it and saved the day. That was a pretty darn great religious metaphoric scene. In the end I'm glad the upload of the refugees' ghosts and memories didn't happen. It would be too sad of an existence. GitS SAC 2nd GIG really outdid itself with these last episodes. It's a good sign when a series leaves me so satisfied with the ending. Highlights: Ishikawa's sudden Falcon Punch! How crazy was that? And Gouda being turned to shreds. Oh so satisfying moments. Batou going all out with the cross-shaped steel bar to save Motoko was pretty darn awesome as well. |

Batou going all out with the cross-shaped steel bar to save Motoko was pretty darn awesome as well. really love the religious references and i thank you for explaining well to me especially in the past few episodes. it's a good thing batou and the tachikoma's save the day. i just hope Kuze is somewhere in the net and knows the truth about Motoko. freaking love this series and cannot wait to watch the summary and Solid State Society. i wish more anime like this in this day of age. heck a new Animatrix with the direction of the team of Stand Alone Complex would be awesome as hell!!!!!!!! the only question i have in the series is who was the guy that killed the The Laughing Man Impostor in Ep 6 of first season and at the end episode of the season where he supposedly triggered a bomb at the parking lot??? probably CIA?? i was also hoping Aoi would show up in the final credits :P FUCKING AMAZING soo many twists, love the characters, animation, music, even the insert songs in the end was gorgeous :) FUCKING 20/10 and it is now one of my favorite series ever made!!!!!! |

| another thing i want to add after watching the summary movie(Individual Eleven) in the final episode of the series. where major blasts gouda's head off. she actually said the same words during the first episode. with the guy proclaiming he is part of the individual eleven. that's actually pretty cool and amazing feat that i didn't notice the first time around. they also didn't put any backstory about gouda besides the fact that he used to be a researcher and producer of the radioactive scrubber technology that made japan a powerful house of the world.they also didn't put any backstory about gouda besides the fact that he used to be a researcher and producer of the radioactive scrubber technology that made japan a powerful house of the world. all in all i FUCKING LOVE this series and will now watch Solid State Society(will watch it twice since the 3D movie has a new opening) will compare the difference between the two :P |

| Fantastic series, definitely one where you really need to pay attention to the details and focus on the main issues of war. I still love SAC though with its amazing stand alone eps, though this one had brilliant dividual episodes as well. 9/10 |
