Or perhaps, an energy-saving type? Like Oreki Houtarou.

If it's about mystery, puzzle solving, and stuffs... then that's gonna be awesome! Shounen plz, and I honestly liked Hyouka but the main girl character... ah well that's out of the topic.

So yep. Perhaps a "legend" or "epic" character can be fine too. As long as they are, well, kind of lazy I guess?

Thank you.

Lazy but a genius? I'd say that Ryner Lute is a good fit for that description. Although perhaps talented is a better word for him? He's an expert in various fields and although his carefree attitude makes it hard to believe, he is fairly intelligent as well.

Yang Wenli is obviously the first that comes to mind but LotGH isn't exactly shounen.

Ayumu Narumi from Spiral: Suiri no Kizuna.A genius and highly talented guy but due to his elder brother basically being better than him at everything, he lazes around and doesn't strive to achieve much. Then he goes around solving mysteries with his sidekick. I would recommend you to read the manga, the anime is a disappointing adaption.

Another classic that fits this request is

Not so much lazy as "laid back"

Don't dismiss them because of age of subject. Both are excellent mysteries set outside the typical anime mold. Both are Seinen rather than Shounen which means there is less action and more thought.

Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu and Spiral are good suggestions as well.

-animeS - The plural of anime is anime. More than one deer is still deer. There is no damn "s".
-epic |ˈepik| noun•a work portraying heroic deeds/adventures covering an long period of time - adjective • heroic/grand in scale or character

Keima Katsuragi from Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai (better known as The World God Only Knows).

Just read his bio to learn why.

TWGOK is a Shounen series, so it probably fits right up your alley.
