| Fear kicked ass this episode, I'm surprised that woman survived 3 instruments of torture with just losing an arm, she also attacked Kirika with the drill but got her senses back when she realized she's a friend. She also nearly committed suicide but was saved by Yachi just in time and returned to her tsundere self. What an ecchi end to the episode, Kirika and Konoha don't like that. 4 Instruments used, 28 more to go. 5/5 9.7/10 |

| Kirika maybe is a cursed object herself that or some holy woman like a miko and the fact she stopped bleeding right after Fear's drill attack confirms one of those possibilities. |

| Was hoping for less censoring when it came to the gore, oh well. Not exactly sold on the drama occurring, just didn't really convince me. Also not exactly sure why their fighting, hoping theirs a bigger reason then just opposites colliding. But yeah, the drama is ridiculously forced, there wasn't exactly a build-up, or a reason on why we should care for the characters. There really wasn't much development of the characters to attach any sort of bonds towards them, it's almost as if they were trying to pull a Higurashi when it came to cute girls doing atrocious things. Seriously, this melodrama, who confesses their love for somebody after knowing them for a few days Shifting emotions too quickly, from melodrama to comedy, this makes no sense at all. Relying too much on the "dere" side of Fear, or the sudden "courageous" valor from the main guy. Overall, I'm not sure where this series is heading. This episode wasn't annoying to watch, was somewhat enjoyable. But the enjoyability was mainly mocking how badly the drama was carried out, and how absurd some of the new developments are. On a side note, the art is relatively simple, but still looks really good. 3/5: The episode itself was terrible when it came to characterization or building anything, but it was a good laugh. Also needs more fan service and repetitive sayings/scenarios, seriously this series is seriously avoiding that. |

It was 50% disappointed and 50% satisfied but now I have to go somewhere so I will say what impressed me and disappointed me very shortly for now. I was really impressed by the following, This is due to the whole scene being in black and white which means loss of wanting to live at basically IRL suicide. A popular way so to speak in Japan and other parts of the world to kill yourself. The jumping off a cliff. That was well done with the BGM. On the other hand I knew right away in the following,  Of this being the Guillotine! It seems that not everyone like serious Fear or maybe this episode is too different compare to first episode......but it seem comment in MAL doesn't care about it lol. Anyway, I enjoy this episode as well.I gonna get cursed if I don't watch the next. |
| Out of the 3 tools she used against the girl, 1 was a miss, 1 was blocked, and the final was a hit. The Iron Maiden, which was dodged, would've instantly guaranteed victory. The wheel was effective at doing what it is supposed to do, knock back. And the guillotine made it so the woman couldn't fight any more. Fear set up the wheel to guillotine follow-through nicely. Fear is a cute idiot with massive power. It's an over-used character archetype. Peaceful mixed with action ~ I wonder what the next episode has in store. |

| Not much better then last week and seriously wondering why i am watching this. The Ef effects look nice but don't really seem to fit in the characters seem to nice and don't really act surprised at certain changes. And some seem to be unable to get angry. Last 2 episodes looked to nice and kind while this one was way to melodramatic not to mention the fact that it's very predictable. |

| It seems like this year is the blue-haired cursed year for both Shitbo & Shin... First is Denpa, now this... I guess this is the first horrible show I've seen from Shin, as much as it pains me to admit this... Or maybe he's just unlucky for picking up a bad show with bad characters but then again, if that OP is his doing, then that doesn't sound very convincing as an excuse... Srsly, what's he trying to achieve? Those stupid hand gestures, girls spinning around in overused cherry blossoms acting cute when all of 'em looks generic as hell... At least the backgrounds and the cinematic effects look good and show that he hasn't lost his touch... If only this has good character design like Denpa then it may be more tolerable... 1st ep was bland, 2nd ep tried to add some srsness but failed to deliver. The main girl was a failure at the start so giving her a dark side doens't really compensate for her generic personality in the least... Glasses girl is butt-fugly and transforming into a yet-again-goddamn-katana-srsly-Japan?!11!! makes it even worse... At least the bitch-spamming antagonist is kinda entertaining but for giving me a trauma about visualizing Balalaika in a meido dress is so disturbing that I shall put this show on hold until my trauma is cured... X_X |

| First episode was an abomination - both in story and looks Second - well it was that WTF factor Third - well looks are better, this I can tell :) but story - today theme: They are running! He from left to right, she from right to left and than... well he finds her (how?!?). But the last part how she turns from homicidal-emo-killing monster to bubby moe-ball - it was... it is hard to describe it. the series joins my happy drop-box but I think I will watch it next week - for if it will go to direction of ep1 (which would be weird) or will be similar to ep2. |

| LOL the way jump to the ocean was epic xD And those after credits.... buahahahaha I get the feeling of SHAFT (slow-mo followed by bullet animation, to that unconventional camera work followed by awesome monologues) but still the art quality is not there.. still awesome show so far. |

| Pretty awesome fighting! I was wondering how she was going to fight using torture devices, which mainly rely upon their victim being immobilized, but she's pretty creative with those tools. A lot of them seem to be mecha-like in their design, and she has both trap-style attacks and big sweeping blows. I look forward to seeing more fighting from Fear :D The ending was hillarious, Fear and the hero so need to get it on ;) Too bad Masamune'll be spying on them and trying to make sure that doesn't happen ... without her getting a piece too. ... Need that doujin :P |

| So was Fear created with a personality/individuality at the beginning, or did it develop over the centuries of use made of her? There is a Japanese term for objects that develop anima (spirits) over long term use, but I don't have the time to scour the internet for it right now. My guess is that the second alternative is probably the case here, as it seems that Fear's knowledge of the world and relationships is missing a few key pieces. Konoha also appears to be in a similar situation as a "cursed" sword. It is unclear whether their "human" form is a property that is inherent, or something that happened when they came into the possession or were touched by Haruaki (possibly as a result of his power over cursed objects). Also did anyone else think Kirika's eyes were glowing red when she was attacked by Fear? I wonder what that means? In any case things have turned around considerably since the first episode ecchi fest (not that it is totally gone). However I still feel like I'm missing a half an episode's worth of character development and explanatory backstory--particularly as to what the organization is that the main charcters are going to be fighting for at least the next few episodes. This has improved enough to be worth watching, but I wonder how many people dropped it on the first episode without giving it a chance. |
