I just finished watching this series.
such a very happy tale full of tragedy.

Lots of tears shed throughout watching this.

I watched the [ARR] subs. The translation and subs timing may be off for me, but the meaning of the series was truly heartfelt.

It may be long, but every episode has a meaning that touches the soul.

There are many Dog of Flanders remakes, but most of them have happy endings.
this one keeps true to the original book story which means a sad ending.
I wished for a happy ending as well, but it's SO SAD!!!

It may be very old with tons of animation errors like where moving carriages don't have spinning wheels animation, or items in moving cart which are suppose to be there but aren't drawn in.
Even if the animation isn't perfect, The heartfelt touching story is perfect for anyone whether they be an anime fan or not.

I very highly recommend this series. 10/10 (Masterpiece)
