K-ON! = Bah!

I bet you by winter everyone will have completely forgotten about K-ON! As stupid as I think K-ON is I'm glad to see that people at least had the sense to rank Yui higher than Mio but I do find it weird that Yuki outranks Haruhi. Also I was under the impression that people hated Shinji and what's Kira Yamato doing there, I thought it was all about 00 now. The rest of the list is basically what I expected.

YAY for Gintama!!!! I'm glad it's still popular in Japan xD! It's kinda underrated in North America...I wished more ppl would watch it.

K-ON being number 1 didn't surprise me... but Haruhi, still up so high even after the Endless Eight garbage? Oh well, at least FMA Brotherhood is up there. Other than that... just meh. Also, I'm going to say I didn't really enjoy Gintama that much...

LS has pretty much died off, but I can't predict the same for K-ON, it's the best slice of life I've watched recently, and maybe ever.

I find it funny that people are so surprised. Japanese Otaku don't like thing based on quality, they like things based off of name recognition and how much they are expected to like and buy it based on community tradition. It was absolutely impossible for Haruhi and K-On to not end up near the top of these silly little poles, because they have done nothing that will make Japanese fans fail to recognize them as popular moe series that they are supposed to like and buy.

Oh that and Newtype Magazine is owned by Kakakawa so they can just fudge whatever results they feel like. If you think they are going to allow people to see Haruhi dropping even a little in popularity while it's airing then think again. THAT would send otaku opinion and sales into a downward spiral because they would see it dropping in the polls and feel that they are supposed to like and want to buy it less. Kadokawa isn't THAT suicidal. They still want their 50,000 plus combined DVD+Blu-Ray sales I assume. I mean if K-On is pushing 40,000 this week then I guarantee Haruhi does at least that high.

K-on was nice despite the fact that it's a cliche bigger than Asia...some girls,cute music,some comedy but number 1?It was cute,but not better than evangelion,code geass or even gundam 00.Kyon is nice too,i like his sarcasm,sometimes funny but again number 1?With characters like Lelouch or Shinji(btw those who say that he's a shitbag probably thought that evangelion is only about some children piloting some huge robots)...Yay for Asuka!Yuki,rei,mio,haruhi,cc and sheryl are nice too.

Gintama is actually quite popular in Japan among high school through college age guys.

This list doesn't surprise me. Though K-on was great and all, I don't think it's quite #1 quality.


And it's amazing the amount of bashing this list gets, when it's actual people from Japan's opinions. I mean, seriously, why flame over opinions when they don't match yours?
