It's a popularity contest not 'which-characters-do-bananapeel-and-moimy-like.'

You didn't know that? Well anyway, until people start thinking of these polls in terms of Otaku style thinking there will always be surprise and shock. You just have to do it like this:

a)What hyped popular series is airing right now?
b)Who is the main character of said series?
c)What popular series is off the air, but still reasonably popular?
d)Who is the main character of said series?
e)Now rank em' all in order of popularity.

Exception: On occasion there is a character that ends up getting decidely more focus and exposure than even the mains. If this happens there is about a 50/50 chance that character will rank higher than the main instead.

Also keep in mind these are Japanese sub-culture magazines yes. They'll outright skew the ranking and reviews of games (i.e Famitsu) or glorify absolute dreck if it's popular enough in order to avoid the infamous otaku backlash and a loss of subscriptions. This is not a mature crowd they are aiming at here.

Anyway, man does Kyon ever look bored in that picture while conversely Tieria, Edward, Lelouch and just about everyone else besides Shinji look ready to take on all challenges. Such an inspiring character that boy......

That's why I gave Evangelion an 8/10 instead of 10/10...

Anyway, where the hell is Higurashi or Toradora or Cowboy Bebop?

Where's Rika-chan or Hinagiku?

well if had newtype decade version poll i'm so KLAC-ing sure that kira-lacus on it & if newtype had a couple poll kira-lacus would be no.1 pair.

besides no other anime can't remove GS & kira-lacus on newtype poll.
